I applied to Syracuse early decision I'm not sure if anything about their team is posted on the boards but does anyone know if their cheer team is good or not? If they compete or not? anything, I can't really find much on their website.

They're ok. Compete small coed D1 at UCA nationals but haven't made finals the past 2 years if I recall correctly. They have potential.

I am going to be so excited if someone goes to Clemson! Lol. Do they have a good cheer program?
I'm only a sophomore so I haven't started looking at colleges yet, but I want to visit Clemson. I switched to trampoline and tumbling this year, so I don't plan on cheering in college, but I know they got 3rd in Daytona last year.

Just curious... what were everyone's scores (ACT/SAT)? And what school do you attend/get accepted to based on those scores.

I graduated from Clemson in May and cheered, as well as competed in Daytona every year. A new coach just took over the program and she is FANTASTIC. Attending Clemson was hands the best decision of my life, and I miss it every single day. The program is going to be back where it used to be here in a couple years under the direction of the new coach, and I can't wait to see what happens! They are planning on competing again this year, however, a decision on what division they will be is still unknown.

Go Tigers!

I only applied to two schools just to see if I'll get in- since I'm applying as a transfer and still missing a few classes. And I don't find out until the end of April if I get in. And I'm so jealous of everyone finding out so soon!

When I took SATs, we had to do the writing portion, but it didn't count because we were the first group to take it--so I don't remember that score, but I had a 660 math and a 590 reading. I got into all three schools that I applied to--Pitt, Uconn, and James Madison...ended up at Pitt and transferred to Point Park (in downtown Pittsburgh)

My ACT score was 24, I totally bombed the math part :(

I got into all the school I applied to.
-University of Minnesota
-Marquette University
-University of Wisconsin-Green Bay
-University of Wisconsin Eau Claire
-Midland University

Not really any big name cheer schools (minus MN) but my parents can't really afford to send me out of state when they had to pay for two other kids to be at school at the same time. Which is why I couldn't go to my dream school, University of Minnesota :(

So I didn't want to start a new thread but, how do most of you pick colleges if you continue to cheer? Do you tryout for multiple colleges and then chose? Or do you just chose and hope you make a team and just keep with the school if you don't? Any extra information of going with these options if greatly appreciated :)

I got an 1840 my one and only time taking the SATs. No idea if scoring has changed in the past 4/5 years... I only applied to schools in New England, so I never took the ACT. I got into all 5 schools I applied to.
I got into Northeastern University, which was my ideal school, but it was just too darn expensive. I ended up going to a different private college that gave me more aid/scholarships (at the time I was doing nursing, so the reputation of the nursing programs was a big factor in my decision).
I still wish I went to a UMass...
