Under AACCA High School rules, can a flier do a backwalkover from a shoulder sit if there are 2 bases assisting the shoulders down to the ground?

How it is happening right now, we are starting in a thigh stand… the the back base scoops her up into a shoulder sit quickly so that the bases can move to support the head/neck/shoulders.

THANK YOU!

Sorry, it is a new change this season.

During a downward inversion, two original bases or one original base and a spotter maintain contact with the top person in a position to protect his/her head, neck and shoulder area. This contact must be maintained until the top person’s hands are on the performing surface or he/she is no longer inverted.

It depends on the execution. It would be fine if the flyer is below prep level (the cradle). It Would not be legal if the flyer is at prep level. I believe AACCA rules still consider a shoulder sit a prep level skill.

I guess it depends on if a shoulder sit is considered a below shoulder level stunt or not. Its the same height as a load position... but her weight is in her butt instead of her feet. Hmmmm
