To alter the subject just slightly, I thought the Dance Moms commercial with Abby Lee pulling the "Flashdance" water bucket that actually got the moms wet was the most entertaining thing I have seen all week.
I dont know the kids involved in this other show but I did watch it. Other than the poor quality of the show, the editing etc. I personally had no problem with either parent. There is not one moment, one sentence they said to either kid (or emotion) that any of us would not have felt in some form or fashion as parents of competitive athletes. No, the expletives were likely not a good idea, but remember everyone expresses frustration in their own unique way. Chalk it up to lesson learned to all of us to stay away from TV and predatory "producers."

I just have to say I feel badly for Amanda. Not at all because of her mother, because God knows I've wanted to choke my kids sometimes when they don't do what I know they are capable of doing. Kids get lazy and it's frustrating sometimes. I feel badly for her because she will always live in the shadow of Gabi in the cheer world. My kids saw Amanda at worlds last year, ran up to her and asked where Gabi was. Her response was "it's not my day to watch her." My kids were a little shocked at her answer but I told them how would you like to constantly be asked where your sister was. Poor thing! My kids then went over and asked if they could have a picture with Amanda, which she graciously did. She is sweet and sassy and her own person. I wish her much success in anything and everything she does.

I can't even imagine. My younger CP has always felt like she lived in her sister's shadow and my oldest isn't a cheerlebrity by any sense of the word. And truth be told, my younger CP probably has more potential to be "noticed" than my older one. But she doesn't see it that way. Younger siblings always feel lost in the shuffle I suppose if they are in the same sport as their older siblings. To have an older sibling be so famous for what she does has to make that 10,000 times harder.

One of many things I have to do if I ever go to Worlds: Take a picture with Amanda Butler!

After watching the whole show and learning not only who the judges were but what the prize for winning was all I could think of was what an elaborate marketing ploy for the shoe company at the kids expense. Never heard of the shoe company before and never plan on purchasing a pair now.

Overall very disappointed in Lifetime for how they produced the show and presented it. Can only describe it as a train wreck, you know you should not watch it but just can't stop. For those of us who have been a part of cheer for many years we know how ridiculous the show was but to outsiders they may have just decided they would never let their kids cheer :( and know what an incredible and rewarding experience it can be.
