OK what the heck does "ratchet" mean? Cp has started using it after hearing it from one of her "cheerlebrity" friends at a competition. Now everything is "ratchet" to her! I am guessing it means something is tacky or unfabulous?
I have to say putting the momma drama aside, this show does do a great job at spotlighting what small gyms are like. Our gym in AZ was the bomb when it came to local comps and Nationals like US Finals...but we would never step foot in NCA because we would have our butts handed to us. Big fish in a little pond. Only a handful of gyms out of the thousands in this country will actually go to Worlds, even fewer will actually make 2nd day. So it's nice to see a gym covered that represents a large percentage of gyms out there.

It basically mean beyond tacky lol and I like the small gym aspect of it too. But at my small gym our parents don't act like that and were def not best friends with them. All our teams are important, the highlights not just on one

My issue is that you can't put the mama drama aside. Nor the fact that this is a fabricated team for the Toddlers & Tiaras crowd. But I agree, there are plenty of small gyms out there, including ours, who do well at local comps and US Finals but who would do horribly at NCA. The funny thing is that many of our parents do not even realize the different levels of competitions and think that having a level 5 team should automatically mean you are vying for a bid to Worlds.

I was watching TV with my friends and the preview came on and they're like "wow they're really good" and I'm like "they're level 2..." and I started listing the levels of each skill in the preview. I'm like "Level 3, Level 5, Level 4, Level 5...." I mean I guess they're just trying to get people to watch the show but showing all these skills that they can't compete as a level 2 team makes your show look inaccurate (which it is)

You heard right. I don't get why the mini team practices for 3 hours, but youth silver practices for 1 hour, when clearly they need longer.
On last weeks episode I remember she said something about them wanting to play around for two hours... so I thought they practiced for two? Maybe they some times practice for one hour and sometimes practice for two
