Does anyone like the Jergens lotion? I have used but I don't get tan, at all.

My daughter is 8 and very pale skinned. We use the Jergens lotion in the medium shade and it worked great last season. She also has really dry skin so needs to use a daily lotion so in the winter time we just use this daily and have had really good results. Gives her normal/slightly tan skin color and smooth skin.

We did try the Neutrogena Sprays two times with mixed results. One time it looked great. Did it the day before a two day comp. She avoided the pool. Looked natural and no streaks. Did it a second time and the legs were very streaky. I had to even it out on her legs twice which resulted in really dark unnatural looking color for her.

We will stick with the Jergens lotion this season. Works for us because the goal is just to make her skin more natural looking and less pale white ghost under the stage lights--LOL.

I use this
Neutrogena -

MicroMist® Airbrush Sunless Tan

It works well for me I do it the night beforehand.
This might sound weird but I know it's supposed to be spray and your not supposed to touch it but I spray it and rub it in everywhere. Oops. Lol I've seen it come out streaky by just spraying it, so I spray it and rub it in like lotion. I wash my hands a lot after but they still turn a little orange from doing that so warming! But I'd rather have orange hands than a streaky body.

A face powder bronzer that I use after I get sprayed is too faced chocolate soliel... It looks pretty natural as long as you take it easy and it smells SO good.

I could post a picture of the before and after and you wouldn't see a difference... I should probably try a stronger one because i loved the moisturizing part!

I use St. Tropez foam tanning w/ mit from Sephora. I have been using it since this time last year and have had great results (I even used it through out the summer) I recommend it to everyone! It has a great smell, doesn't streak and gives off a great color. I will try to post a picture of me with and without it at competitions... I swear by it!

My biggest concern: even doing it a day or two before, having it stain the white uniform. Has anyone had a problem with this or are my fears unfounded?

:( No the fear is real, it happened to me, but I think it was just because I sprayed the night before and didn't shower before competing which was probably silly. I think after you spray, the next day or that night you should shower to get the excess off and then it shouldn't bleed much. Mine did get the inside of our white uniforms a little orangey. :(

Love this thread!!!! There were soo many kids at our gym who spray tan at the local tanning place...... which is too funny to me! I have even tried it twice, and i'm Black!!!! well actually i'm probably Carmel!!!!! and I even tan 3-4 times a week, and I love it!! Never done this in my life!! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!:fro:
