my parent r going to make me cheer at gym state but i dont want to because i cheer at idaho cheer. every one is my family here. i love cheering and i dont want to quit. i am thinking about cheering at school but i am only in jr. high and they doent do what i love to do. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never Quit!, I do not know what your parents reasons are, but I am sure they have some good ones. None-the-less, if this is what you love, you will have an impact no matter where you go. I may not feel like family at first, but that will change. The new gym may never feel like family, but give it a chance, it will be okay as long as you get to do what you love......good luck!

i switched gyms 3 times and i didnt want to leave any of my friends, but i did and i got better out of it. i also made great friends. of course i was sad to leave my other famlies in the beginning but i made lifetime friends at my new gym and i got great skills. and know i wouldnt have thought this 4 years ago when i first switched but now were up for a worlds bid against 60 other teams. so in the end it all worked out. so i hope you make th eright decision follow your heart!

thanks that helped me alot. but i fill like when we go to worlds that if we beat the other team they will not like me. But that is not a true family

I guess the question that you have to answer is do you like to cheer or do you cheer because you like the people. That will give you the answer.

thanks u really helped and i am going to cheer no matter what happens. i love the spot more than the people.

Well, you should calmly tell you're parents that you don't want to change gyms. And if they say that you have to switch gyms, you need to give the other gym a chance. You never know, you could love it there!

Makenzie, you have to love fierceboard because you never know who you might run into. I know both the gyms you are referring to and I'm a parent.

Gem state is a cheaper option, but because they don't attend the level of competitions that Idaho Cheer does and the probability of Gem State ever making it to worlds is very small.

I've been watching all-star cheerleading in Idaho for 10 years and they have yet to produce anything more than a level 3 team.

I don't know your skill, but if you have skill and want to take advantage of it, Idaho Cheer is the place to be.

As a parent, I would listen and possibly change my mind if you presented the differences between the two gyms and why Idaho Cheer is the right place for you. Use the websites and information to outline why Idaho cheer costs more, but its because they offer more for you and you have the greatest opportunities. Don't forget location. I don't know where you live, but the other gym is closer to Eagle. If you live closer to Idaho Cheer, make sure you talk about the distance, time and gas to travel to the other gym.

Make sure you express all the things you like about Idaho cheer and how they enhance your skill, as well as, the family atmosphere and friends you enjoy.

Good Luck!
