I can not stress enough that is honestly our NUMBER 1 goal for this year in 2013 is how to better manage the communication.... The references I made above, along with the additions of Tiffany and Amber to our BLING SQUAD office team are going to show leaps and bounds of the effort and energy put into making an overall better service experience.....

I hope throughout this year it will be noticed in the strides we are taking....
You know in the cheer world, when teams use.... this is a "re-building" year?

GlitterStarz I work in Inside Sales, I sell tools all day to old grumpy men and have been for 13 years. I would much rather sell cheer stuff then tools, let me know if you are ever hiring. I currently live in Indiana but you just never know. I love your story!!!

I'm still waiting on designs requested in October. I was told they'd be done later that day and....nothing. I'd love to understand what happened.

@CHEER4LIFE!! yes email or call lets see what we can do.... Custom sports bras and bling apparel way cooler than tools ;)

@pctmom Natalie.... I just looked and we have a TON of artwork on different colors and different sports bras on file for you.... Want me to resend them and we could get this going again? We are releasing 5 NEW styles of sports bras next week for a "WORLDS" promo.... You might want to change the sports bra style... these new ones are pretty innovative... I'll email you!

Again, month of October.... we really did not have the "man-power" or "glitter-power" to follow up with non-approved artwork.... We do all artwork free at no cost, and push through the ones that are approved right away.... If anyone else has artwork that is not approved, or we starting talking about an order... let me know if you want to get it started again, so we can SHOW OFF our new and improved GlitterStarz!

PS.... to all the FIERCEBOARDERS on here..... I just want to let you guys know, you guys have a VOICE, and you guys are HEARD..... I can not tell you how many people, just from this direct thread that we are involved with, comment upon this to us..... Since this thread has been open, customers from everywhere has mentioned this post.... Old loyal customers, new customers, orders in the works, and past customers just giving feedback.... Phone conversations, emails and texts have all been communicated to me regarding this.... Most in good faith, and just being honest....
But you guys are DEFINITELY heard.... because a ton have brought this to my attention, other than the ones who have commented, shimmied, etc....

I just wanted to say that at CPs old gym, we used GlitterStarz and absolutely loved the products and the customer service. I was the contact person for those orders, and Liz was exceptional. That was 3 years ago and I am sure the company has grown tremendously since then. However, the clothing purchased still looks wonderful. CP still wears the items even though she is with a different gym and I gave my sister-in-law the adult clothing that I had ordered. She still wears it and it still looks great.
 
GlitterStarz Liz-Kristin Dillard here with Iconix Allstars. I know you and Jan have heard from me a gazillion times, and I think we actually have gotten most (if not all) of what we were missing. The products do look amazing, and for the most part everyone is really happy with them. Here is my only suggestion:

If you are going to change anything about the order originally placed, I would give a quick call to the buyer, or to your point of contact at the gym, etc, to make sure the person still wants that product with the changes. For example, the style of bookbag we received on these more recent orders (the ones done in December) is different from what is posted on the website-thus, our logo had to be tilted and is now diagonal on the bag instead of horizontal. While Jan explained why you used a different bookbag, it wasn't what we ordered. If we are striving for a unified team look, it's kinda hard to have that when half the logos are diagonal, half are horizontal. Jan was EXTREMELY accomodating and offered to switch it back to the old bookbag, but again, a phone call could have prevented it from becoming an issue. Not to mention, our kids don't want to wait another month or longer for a different one.

As BelieveinM.E. said, communication is key. I think a lot of our issues could have been resolved easier if the lines of communication had been better. At this point, that is my only complaint. I think giving realistic timelines helps keep everyone happy-the customer and the business.

On a side note, when is this new ordering system/store going into effect?

This is Cathy from Ohio Valley All-Stars in West Virginia. I have used GlitterStarz for the last several years, sometimes even using the online store multiple times a season. I have always had great communication and have had absolutely no problems with the items. They have even went "above and beyond" for me!! For instance, when my daughter - the owner of our gym, found out she was pregnant, as soon as we heard "its going to be a girl" I contacted Liz and ask her if there was any way I could get the Ohio Valley design on a onesie to put in her christmas gifts....a few weeks later a pink rhinestoned onesie showed up on my doorstep with a NO CHARGE invoice attached. That's the kind of people they are at heart. I think maybe a little overwhelmed with all the popularity of their products and how fast everything grew this past year. So, Liz, just know that we will def be back next season. And I hope that you continue to grow and grow. You have a great product at a great price! You will get all the kinks worked out....we have faith in you!
 
Cp just got practicewear the other day and lo and behold! is made by GlitterStarz - whole gym wore them last night to a full gym practice and they looked great.
 
I'm just curious if anyone has had the same bad luck we've had with them.

We held a webstore Oct 1-15. The webstore said production would take 3 weeks. We are now on Tuesday of week 6, and we can't even get a firm ship date. For the last two weeks I've called twice a week, and I get answers ranging from "We're waiting on 1-2 more items" to "We're wrapping things up, it will ship later this week"-none of which has produced actual items to our gym. My biggest problem with the whole thing is I just called today (again) and the production manager couldn't tell me if ANY of our items had been completed-but assures me she will have it all done by COB today. Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath.

Anybody have similiar experiences? Or anybody used other bling companies and had great experiences? I haven't been able to find another company that does the same type thing on all sorts of items. I just feel like as the customer, we should have some sort of explanation, and instead, I'm getting all sorts of excuses why the order is so much more difficult than a "normal" order. Funny, they didn't say a word about it being a problem when they were taking orders.

Have to say we had similar issues with them. We also had bling falling off even before it was worn and right out of the bag. Not sure if they are too small to handle the amount of orders they receive.
In any case it's pretty annoying and you are not alone in your misery.

We have moved and above is our new office number.. Working with a full crew even on a Saturday at the office now.... Call if you would like ;)

All of the "internal" restructures that I mentioned are in effect now.... Test us out ;)
NEW store and website..... we are hoping to launch mid-next week...... The new store front and merchant account will be in effect, yet the new "design studio" where you can design your custom sports bras with instant proofs right online....is going to be at the end of the month..... We want to make it PERFECT to make our "busy season" of sports bras and custom Creation Collection items a SEAMLESS operation through WORLDS and all the big comps coming up!
