I'm in a situation right now that involves girls that do rec cheer and want to do both their Rec cheer and allstar team. Right now they do Rec cheer and just compete locally and they will compete at a Jamfest event. The coach is looking under her JamBrands rulebook to see if they would be eligible to compete for an allstar team under a Varsity/USASF event. Does anyone know uf there are any differences? I thought JamBrands was its own thing separate from Varsity. Anyone have a guess or an answer to me?

Two separate competitions? Absolutely okay, even if they were the same brand.

Is the rec team a Pop-Warner squad or is their rec team part of the All-Star program?

There is a Pop-Warner rule that says kids cannot be rostered on a Pop-Warner team and All-Star team at the same time

I believe SarahS is correct that the girl cannot compete for both teams at the same event regardless of event producer.

Okay, Pop Warner is just in the Fall so right now they do what they call a year round pregram so they're classified as a youth rec with what i believe no connections to pop warner at all. Youth Rec would be okay right? we wont ever compete at the same competitions. So as long as we dont we should be okay to do both?

Double check the rec team status because pop-Warner does allow for year round teams under certain restrictions so you would need to verify that as well. Do you know if the rec team is registered with usasf?

USASF has no restrictions over an athlete being on an All Star team and a recreation team. They do restrict that an athlete can't compete with 2 different programs at the same event on an All Star and/or All Star Prep teams. They can not also compete on an All Star & an All Star Prep team at the same event (even if from the same program). However, they have no regulation over recreation teams.
