so, it looks as though the competition lost convention center space. i wonder if they didn't expect this comp to get this big and didn't book enough convention center space and aren't able to get more?
and seriously, if your gym hasn't paid their reg fee yet i would be asking some serious questions...

Is there an updated schedule out there somewhere, or information I can't seem to find. The schedule on the website is still the preliminary from 1/10. Which has the flex hall & hall D. They haven't lost space since then have they? I hope not.

on the first schedule they put out they had C, D and Flex hall. now they have two exhibit sections - Flex and Hall D with two panels. i think that's why it's running so late into the evening now.
i looked at the ACCC calendar and as someone else noted there is a gymnastics comp that weekend also

I am glad they didn't lose more space. I honestly didn't notice that they had hall C on the original schedule. It is running very late though, I am scared to see what time awards will be on Sunday. Might have to add a night to our stay since I was planning on driving home after.

The more I see posted, the more I am sooo glad our gym opted for a different comp this weekend - it seems to be a nightmare waiting to happen with so many teams and so many other events going on in the same venue. As much as I would love to see the amazing teams that will be there, given past history I can't imagine Spirit Cheer keeping this on time, and if the last teams are SCHEDULED for 10pm, it may be well past midnight before the last teams are done competing, and awards may be around breakfast time Monday. At least you will have cheer moms, dance moms, and gymnastics moms all in one facility for added entertainment

Actually, I realized the kids have off school Monday, so I am a little less stressed about this...but still.....this is VERY late for a comp!

Got the confirmation packet today, a revised schedule will be posted this afternoon. Final schedule will be posted weds the 16th. Can't wait to see the final rundown!

I really hope we're all wrong and that it runs on time and turns out to be the best Comp ever but I'm worried I may end up jealous of everyone who dodged this one...The more I see posted, the more I am sooo glad our gym opted for a different comp this weekend - it seems to be a nightmare waiting to happen with so many teams and so many other events going on in the same venue. I'm just sitting here giggling to myself reading this thread. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all, but I know how it's going to end. Fortunately it's a 3-day weekend for most schools (I think?)
