All-Star Traveling To Cheersport

SOS!!!
So my dad is an airline pilot for JetBlue, which means we get free airplane tickets to where ever we want to go... that JetBlue travels to. Sadly, Atlanta is not one of them. So my original plan was to drive with a member of my team that I am rooming with on Friday morning and driving back Monday. Well, she decided to change her mind and fly like with everyone else in the gym. With this being last minute, everyone else on my team that is not flying, already has a full car.
Now, I would just fork over money to fly but, I do not have the money and my parents are refusing to purchase one since money is tight with my dad being on disability and just having that cut in half...
So, my important cry for help is, does anyone on the boards (or know anyone) from an airline who can get me a buddy pass(very largely discounted ticket, under 100 roundtrip) that I can afford, or even free from TAMPA to ATL that Friday morning and return Monday afternoon? In exchange for many shimmys, bows, hugs whatever and FREE JETBLUE roundtrip tickets to where ever your heart desires? I'm having to pay for the tickets myself and right now I only have $60 and don't get paid for another two weeks and keep in mind, I only work 8 hours a week, min wage.. Help a girl out.

And yes I have checked hotline, priceline and everything out there.

I wish I had the $$$ to help you out!! I really do! I would however be willing to chip into a group fund if there's enough people on Fierceboard that wants to chip in too!!!

There are several flights on Delta at $140. It's not under $100, but close.

I would be willing to contribute to the Get Her To Cheersport Fund...she really sounds like she wants to go and i could do without that cup of starbucks..

I'm trying to convince my parents to go half, but it's getting hard because they are saying SOMEONE has to have room in their car when I have literally posted on our FB page, texted and emailed everyone on the team.. :banghead: I wish I would have saved a bit more from my paychecks!

Note to self: Start saving for worlds :oops:

Have you talked to your coach about the situation? I'm sure they will want to do everything possible to get you there. Maybe the gym would be willing to help you out with the airfare and you could make arrangements to pay them back??? It doesn't have to be something that is announced so that everyone knows, but usually coaches/gym owners would be willing to help an athlete out when they are in a hard situation. Maybe you could help out at the gym somehow to work it off?? Just a thought.

I wish I could help - we are driving from Alabama, but I don't know how I'd get you from Tampa to AL. I hope it works out!

My mom is very good at finding cheap plane tickets. She told me the best time to look for/buy them is at 2:00 A.M. I'm not sure exactly how much cheaper they are then but hopefully that helps you a little bit. Good luck

According to my aunt they are always cheaper on Tuesdays. So far that seems to be true for her buying our plane tickets to Florida.

I've been looking for my worlds flights, and they're $20 cheaper today than they were yesterday, so I guess that's true. hahaha
