Just got back from Nationals and decided to compile some data about best cheer programs based on placement in finals. Over the past 4 years, here's what I found for Small Varsity D1. (I couldn't find stuff for further back online.)

In 2010 - 2013: Only 6 teams made finals all 4 years
-------------------------
#1 Dr. Phillips (FL) - 2nd average finish
#2 Pine Richland (PA) - 5.75
#3 Los Alamitos (CA) - 6
#3 Bloomington North (IN) - 6
#3 Madison Central (KY) - 6
#4 Franklin (TN) - 8.5

What about other divisions?

Because I'll do anything to put off my math homework...
you can thank me later ;)

Small D2
Burlington Township is the only team to have made finals from 2007-2013.

I'm only ranking the ones that have been in finals for the past four years in a row, and counting any final placement for years before 2010.

#1 Burlington Township-4.3
#2 Southwestern- 6.33
#3 Somerset- 7
#4 Cullman-8
#5 Pikeville- 8.83

Small Coed D1
All of these teams have been in finals from 2007-2013

#1 Sparkman- 3.5 (the worst they've ever finished was 4th!)
#2 Mater Dei- 4.14
#3 Blackman- 4.29
#4 Collierville- 7.14

Small Coed D2
Both Archbishop Shaw & Reidland made finals 2007-2013
Only teams to make it for the past four years (or more):

#1 Reidland- 2.7
#2 Archbishop Shaw- 4.42
#3 Lacey Township- 5.2

Medium D1
North Laurel is the only team to have been to finals from 2007-2013, all others in the ranking have only made it from 2011-2013.

#1 North Laurel- 2
#2 Upper Darby- 3.67
#3 El Dorado- 4.33
#4 Marina- 8.33

Medium D2
The only teams to make finals for the past three years (2013-2011), some have made finals more but skipped a year or two, which I didn't include.

#1 Rocky Point-1.67 (First 2010, 2011, 3rd 2013)
#2 Live Oak- 3.33
#3 Bishop McCourt- 4.67
#3 Delaware Valley Regional- 4.67
#4 Ouchita Parish- 9

Large D1
The only team to stay in this division for the past four years has been Dunbar, so I'm going to rank them from the past two years, just so there is more to show. Only showing the ones that stayed in Large D1 for the last two years. I know others had switched divisions and placed but I'm too lazy to find them all.

#1 Hunterdon Central - 1.5 (2nd in 2013, 1st in 2012)
#2 Dunbar- 2.5 (1st in 203, 4th in 2012)
#3 Winter Park- 3
#4 Houston- 4
#5 North Hunterdon- 6
#6 Connetquot- 9.5
#6 Hazelton Area- 9.5

Large D2
Only teams that have made in to finals in this division from 2011-2013 (or more if in a row), with the exception of Greenup County because I knew they were small for 2012. Just didn't feel like looking up the others.

#1 Benton- 3
#2 Greenup County- 3.8
#3 Father Judge- 4
#4 Mount Sinai- 5.33

Large Coed
All of these teams have made finals from 2oo7-2013

#1 Graves County- 1.7
#2 Sun Prairie- 2
#3 Brother Martin- 5.14
#4 Lewisville- 6.14

Super Varsity D1

Granite Hills- 5.33
Vestavia Hills- 6.5
Ocean Springs- 7

Super Varsity D2
Only ranked the ones that were in finals from 2013-2012 (or more), lots of changed divisions or something for the years after.

#3 Jenks- 4

Where did you find the info back to 2007?

I believe they found it under the results on varsity.com when you watch the videos. Just click the schedules and results tab

Where did you find the info back to 2007?
varsity.com, clicked competitons, then UCA/UDA and whatever year I wanted. Then clicked NHSCC and went to results and they are all there! But the 2008 and 2007 aren't as organized. They are all on one sheet.

I'd love to see the averages of Westview and Clay County. Neither were included because they changed divisions, but I think they both would have a pretty decent average!
Clay County didn't go 2009-2007 but their average is 3.25 and Westview went every year from 2007-2013 and their average is 1.86!

If we are talking about programs, I think we should look at JV's too. New Ro won in both divisions this year, and placed high the past 2 years in both. Doing well in both divisions shows that your program is strong all the way to the roots.

Yes!!!!!! North Laurel as well, all the way down to Middle School. Arlington JV used to be a super-strong program (do they still go to nationals?), & I still miss Mt. Pisgah Middle School :( They were UNREAL back in '09.
