I actually saw a lot of change from day to day two with the teams from my gym..
Our J2 was in 4th day one (top 5 all separated by less than a point) fell on day 2 and dropped to 5th.
S2(my team) Our jumps were a little off timing, and a girl looked really awkward grabbing a body position in the pyramid and we were in 2nd day one by .5. Day two we went out and hit a PERFECT routine and ended up in 1st by .3 while the team in first basically did the routine the exact same.
S4; Was in 1st day one with a PERFECT routine, bombed day two and dropped to 6th.
We also had J3, S3, and S5 move spots that reflected off their performance but those are basically the ones that stood out. I do suspect something weird in the Sm Sr 3 division scoring.
Does anyone think it may be how each arena has different judges? I heard a lot of people getting comments on their score sheets that are opposites to others.

Different judges or judges doing different levels? I would assume if a judge did level 3 all day they'd be more accurate than a judge doing level 2, 3, and 5 during the day.

I can't get over how much variation there is from Grand to Nationals.
My CP's team won the Grand and L1 overall in Columbia, SC with a 50.81. The Tumble Tree Twisters Silver came in second with a 48.3.
Nationals final score for us in Youth 1 small gym 49.93(Second Place) with a MUCH better and cleaner routine both days than in Columbia and there was an error on our scoresheet that the coach caught on day 1.
Tumble Tree Youth Silver, they had to compete in Youth LARGE, 51.11 (second Place).
My first year as a cheer parent I had no idea judging would vary so much on the same scoresheet but with a different panel. Not complaining at all just an honest observation.

Different judges doing all level 3. Like the ones in B1 doing Sr 3 D1 then b4 doing D2. I know it doesn't affect placing, but it affects the over all scoring impression.
Question, do the judges from day 1 stay in the same arena day 2 or do they switch?

A team is scored by the same judging panel on Day 1 & Day 2.

I also don't understand how a raw score (non-level 5) changes between 2 days w the same judging panel and same routine. Our raw score went up from a 49.23 to a 49.56, and another in our division went from a 48.98 to a 50.39, another was 49.94 to 50.67, and YET ANOTHER went from 47.32 to 49.17.

A 2 POINT DIFFERENCE in day 1 and 2!!! While there was less than a 1 point in final scores between 1st and 6th place. I'm just confused on how raw scores changed that much. I thought raw scores would be the same (or vary by .5 maybe). Maybe it's just me though.

Sorry to keep harping, but I think what kills me the most is that I NEVER questioned cheersport's scoring before due to the video judging. We were judges while we competed, then again (more accurately/thoroughly) by video....now I feel like it's just random scores. Our "energy was down" day 2, which I can say is inaccurate. We had a rough day 1, day two was MUCH BETTER and the energy was up. I'm a tough coach (don't really clap and get crazy for my teams, I watch them like a judge would/should), and I had us top 3...not 1st, but top 3. We not only stayed in 5th day 2, but dropped a spot overall. (Looking at the scores the team in 7th day 1, CAME IN 1sST DAY 2 and moved to 5th, bumpin us to 6th). I'm trying to be unbiased but, come on.

In our experience there, execution not affects the technique score but also for some reason it changes the difficulty score. Either that or it is random

The most blatant example I saw with our teams is our sr 3 jumps(toe bhs toe and a 4 jump combo to 2 bhs) - 5.7 vs cheer express sr 3 jumps 5.9(4 jump combo to 2 bhs). Watch them on CHEERSPORT.tv

I would like to ask, how much does number of stunt groups/number if team members affect a score? For example: a large senior team, could be level 1-4. Team A came in first and team B came in 2nd. Both teams had equally difficult stunts with near perfect technique thought the routine as well as tumbling technique/difficulty. (Basically they were equal.) But, team A, the winning team, has 5 stunt groups and say 25 team members. Team B, on the other hand, has 7 stunt groups and the full 32 members. How does this work with cheersport/varsity scoring?

CHEERSPORT's scoring is 50/50. Like I said earlier, I dislike that because placements from Day 1 rarely change even if the performances were drastically different. That team that you mentioned with multiple bobbles and a stunt fall had a high day 1 score. average the 2 and they're still in second place. The teams getting 3rd - 6th with a better day 2 may not have had a great day 1. Their bad score is weighted just as heavily as their good score.

I don't like cheersport for that reason, and plenty of people love cheersport for that exact reason. it is what it is.

PS though, I would love an explanation from CHEERSPORT as to why so many divisions had to be rejudged and recalculated. whether it was legitimate or not, after one or two divisions it starts to look really sketchy.

I may or may not know about whether or not some this alleged sketchiness may or may not exist...depending on the circumstances (*note, not regarding anything this year)

"May or may not know," "alledged sketchiness," "may or may not exist," "depending on the circumstances," "not regarding anything this year." Well, you have successfully covered all the bases.;)

I have always heard that judgeing there was off but have never experienced it for myself, until this year. I have quite the stories about somethings I was told. I had a Cheersport staff member tell me that I didn't have any transitions in my Pyramid because the stunt groups didn't move... So I informed her that "transition" doesn't mean that the stunt group had to move. Her words to me were "I don't know I'm not a cheerleader". WOW. Fortunally I got to speak to someone who did know what they were talking about, and got my score fixed. This isn't even the mistake that I am the maddest at. The major thing I am waiting to tell because I want to see if it will get resolved...

My team in j2 hit both days perfectly we were in we were in the middle of the group on the first day and the other team hit the the first day but dropped the second day. We dropped to two and the other team moved up two places on the second day . I was confused by this
