I hate when cheerleaders keep moving in their spot before the music starts. I see this in all the routines nowadays. What I was taught was that you run out, spirit, wave, hug your teammate, etc., but once you get to your spot your hands are clean to your side (or wherever they're supposed to be) and stay TIGHT! Now all I see is jumping up and down, shaking it out, fixing hair, practice twisting, bouncing, fidgeting, etc. and they do this up until the music starts and 1) It looks sloppy as hell, 2) it ruins the effect of the opening. I just want to yell at them to stop moving!

1. Uggs and uniforms.....It drives me insane.
2. Coaches and teams that can't seem to move on to their next warm up mat. My time has started and my kids will tumble on you. Please move quickly!!
3. Bad warm up rooms.
4. When Gym A's coaches and fans wont move out of the way after their teams performance and my team is already on the floor setting up to perform.
5. Competitions that DON'T have a coaches room. I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I only get 5 minutes to sit down and shove some horrible food in my mouth. It's nice to have a quiet place to do so.
6. Award ceremonies that take FOREVER!! Announce and move on. We have been here for 12+ hours!!!

Sorry for the huge rant.....I guess I have a bunch of pet peeves!! I am really a very positive / nice person

one of my biggest pet peeves is when someone is videotaping a performance and they keep on zooming in on one particular person.. drives me crazy because then you cant see the rest of the team :banghead:

I've always been really good at this even when it was my CP's team (not zooming in on one person). In fairness, if they're taping and it's their kid I can see where they're coming from. I never liked to do that so that other parents could always enjoy my videos too, plus I like being able to see the whole team too.

They are not only blocking the view - i don´t even get it. There are small cameras making videos with much higher quality you can put on your Ipad to show everyone.

And this is another pet peeve, not 2013, but from the first competition i went to, but still annoying:
Please, parents, fans, everyone: Can you wait till the team on the mat is finished with their routine to go and get you another beer, hot dog or go to the rest room? It´s 2:30, come on - i get that 3 year olds CAN`T wait, but aduldts?
Werd.... mine HD video cam fits in the palm of my hand and I've gotten so many compliments on the quality of my videos.

When you say good luck to another team and they just go...

As a coach, when we go to a warm up room and 1) no one is telling us when to go on and off the floor or 2) when we warm up then wait 45 minutes to take the floor...like what is the point of a warm up when you are completely cooled down by the time you hit the floor?

Oh also - when they do a bajillion things before the awards ceremony - dance off, tumble off, stunt off, free frisbee giveaway, mardi gra beads, etc. If the award ceremony is scheduled to start at 2, then teams should start to be announced at that time. If they aren't ready at the schedule time to start the actual ceremony then they need to post a later time!

i can understand it too but it just bugs me and this is a thread for pet peeves...

Call me a hater but my biggest pet peeve is the fairly new phenomenon of the crowd yelling "hit, hit, pull" during a routines jump to backs/tumble. If I was competing I'd probably mess up if that was yelled at me in unison.
I wouldn't call that new? And it actually helps so you know when to be hitting your jump on the correct time.
