oh wow i had no idea! my gym's rule is nude color/french is okay. anything else is a no! do you think french and nude colors would still follow that? just curious :)
You can usually see through the pink from a French manicure enough to tell, but no polish is safest should something bad happen. This is also why they ask you to take it off before surgery.

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I guess I've seen all these fake nails on girls and gels and stuff that I was so focused on that being dangerous for those reasons. I'm shocked at how many gyms allow their athletes to wear gels and acrylics too. If they get ripped off that's gonna hurt as well as the reason you stated above for nail polish.

I look at cheer the same way I do any sports, athletes should be required to keep the nails SHORT and no way should artificial nails be allowed. Your point about being ripped off is valid, but I was always more concerned with the damage those nails could do to a teammate in a stunt that goes wrong. My oldest has a lovely scar on her arm from a basketball opponent who ripped her arm with her @$&#* nails.

i have purposefully avoided fake nails strictly because of cheer.. does it not restrict you? (never had them so i wouldnt know..) but i feel like in tumbling, (standing handsprings especially) and flyers pulling positions like scorps in my head it makes sense that it would affect those..

am i the only one that thought of him when i saw the name taylor hall?

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how quickly cheerlebrity fades

I had fake nails once for homecoming. I can't remember if I had them for the HC game, I'm pretty sure I didn't. I hate having long nails so I thought they restrict things kind of. I ended up taking them off the following Monday during band because it's super hard to play the flute with those things on!

Popped up on my tumblr feed.... GET IT GIRL.

I just cant get over how legit this is!! The base isn't even that big! (apart from her perfect abs). And the flyer isn't a fetus! Thats a full sized flyer!!

Im so excited for this trend (like with ece j5). I hope for the day where there is a team at worlds where every girl does a walk in to extension and when spotters arent required (itll happen I believe it lol).
Imagine quantity stunts on large senior having 15 people in the air in a paper doll
