PRO Holbrok Platinum was at UCA this weekend. They looked amazing but they went as a Senior Level 4. Are they no longer going level 5 for Worlds :(.... I hope so they looked GREAT!!!
Yeah that was over a month ago.
They made the decision to go level 4 (and stay that way) some time after that. I personally think it was the right decision.

As a matter of fact the whole PRO Holbrook gym was already scheduled for Pot of Gold in Providence this same weekend.

I hope they get their bid! Is this there last bid event of the season?
Yes, this is their last shot! keeping our fingers crossed! it kind of stinks because the rest of our program won't be there to support them. The rest of our teams are already scheduled to go to Baltimore that weekend.

Don't you have to bring 50% of your gym to get a bid though?

I think that's something an EP can decide for themselves. I'm not even going to try and look for it on the Spirit Fest website... But I know teams have gone alone to this competition in the past for the bids.

Not this year.

Does anyone know how bids are distributed? Hearing 1 paid goes to a coed team and 1 to an all girl. Idk how true that is

That's what we were speculating from what they've done in the past, but I'm not sure that anyone knows.

Yes, that list is very old and outdated. I've tried to remove the teams who have said they weren't going, and my most current list (with bids) is the following. I'm not sure how accurate it is in terms of participants, to be honest. Bid information is pretty much up to date.

It's going to be a battle between the open teams for bids it looks like.

in10sityNY congrats on your bid by the way, I'm sorry you're no longer attending spirit fest!

In 2011 and 2012, they gave one to a coed team and one to an all-girl team...We had to call to ask, but they specified on the phone that that's how they'd do it.

Did they specify policy on International teams? I know historically they were eligible only for AL, but since Varsity now owns don't know if that has changed?

They were Varsity last year and still didn't do paid for international. I think they still set aside the one AL bid for international. Which is funny, since most of the AL bids will go to international teams it looks like.

Of course, you're right, that could have changed
