We drive to:
Palm Springs
Las Vegas (some fly but we drive - it's 5 hours)
Anaheim
Ontario
Long Beach

We fly to Orlando for UCA, Worlds (for our worlds teams) and Summit for teams with paid bids.

Next year will be NCA (Dallas) hopefully. :)

2 in Trenton (45 minutes) , 2 in Philly (90 minutes) and 2 local - for our younger teams.

The older kids(usually level 3 and up) go to Orlando, CT, AC, Maryland and possibly Summit. All of those are within 5 hour driving distance, except for Florida.

Our travel teams do 1 fly to competition each season, and all teams do a couple that require a drive. Most can be done in 1 day so a hotel isn't always necessary. Parents have no say, as we have travel and non-travel teams at all age groups, so parents who can't afford/don't want to travel don't have to. We also do a lot of fundraising for those who are interested of course. All of this is posted before the season starts, so parents are aware of what they are getting into before they send their kid to team placement. Being a larger gym allows us to have the travel and non travel option for all kids, so it's nice for parents.

Our 2-5 levels do Daytona, Atlanta and an over night in Orlando (UCA) We're from Tampa so the only one that needs flying is Atlanta and driving is only 8 hours so it's not too bad. And 5 is going to worlds.

This season this was our schedule. I'm on two teams so that why there's two MB comps and possibly the summit..not sure yet if we are going.
Exhibition at local high school
Exhibition at Odyssey Athletics' local high school (2 hour drive)
UCA Regionals Greensboro (45 min)
UCA 2 day in Seveirville, Tenessee (5ish hour drive)
Spirit Xpress Sweetheart regional Raleigh (2.5 hours)
Allstar Challenge nationals Raleigh (2.5 hours)
Spirit Xpress Broughton regional Raleigh (2.5 hours)
And coming up..
Battle at the Beach Myrtle Beach (5 hours)
American Superstars Myrtle Beach (5 hours)
And hopefully the summit. Which would be either a plane ride or a 12ish hour drive.
