I had the old OOA and there were 2 halls. I may be a little off but counted 209 all-star cheer teams from the Feb OOA and 166 for this weekend. Not sure if that will affect the # of bids they are able to hand out next year or not. I am hoping they can use the original registration number and keep the 2 paid bids for next year.

They can keep 2 with 166 teams.

Are they definitely using the Worlds Scoresheet?

Weren't there were a lot of high school teams originally scheduled to compete in February? Probably not 43 teams, but it could account for some change in numbers.

My numbers only reflected all star teams for both the Feb and current OOA. I left out the school and dance teams. Either way, I am glad they get to keep the 2 bids for next year! Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Just as an FYI to everyone....as informed by one of our parents, there is a 5K run on Saturday morning for the Sandy Hook victims, there will be street closures, etc. Don't know whether or not it will impact the convention center, but give yourselves extra time if you need to be there in the morning.

thanks for bringing this up! The race, I believe starts on Main St in downtown hartford which is about .4 miles from the convention center. not sure where it ends but definitely give yourself time if you are traveling through Hartford.

Yes high schools were originally competing Saturday morning, but regionals just wrapped up last weekend so they decided not to hold a HS comp this time, I guess.
