All-Star The Summit-bids

I dont think the list is updated. There is probably 3 comps not accounted for, my team got a paid bid recently and it hasnt been updated from at large to a paid. A few teams arent listed yet that I know is going.

NEliteSteven to answer your question: It's completely up to the event producer. Most EP's will set limits on their At-Large bids to keep the prestige of the event.

For us parents having to plan for going to the Summit, can anyone give us an idea as to a block schedule or at least the hours for the competition? We are required to arrive on Thursday night and are trying to figure travel plans for Sunday evening or Monday. Will a preliminary/block and then final schedule be released? When?

Fierce Board was where we learned that only the top 5 in each division compete on Sunday and its a clean slate for day 2. Where can we find more information online?

How many at large bids can a team receive? Some teams are listed on multiple EP's lists as having received an @L bid for the same team/ level/ division from different events.

We have 8 teams not on that list as of yet. A bunch of folks are not on there.

Wow! I think knowing the top 5 only advance to Sunday would make many reconsider their bid!!!

I had wondered the same thing...I've seen a few teams repeatedly turn down summit bids.

Actually this list has been revised. They had scoring issues. My team (Carolina Spirit Athletics large Senior 3) received an at large bid. Having a team meeting soon but hopefully will be attending!

Two teams actually declined a full paid bid from my gym (ECE), it was Junior 5 and Small Senior 3...hopefully we don't decline ours. this would be a great experience, not just for my but my teammates.

Actually I know the team that was in red for upgraded from AL to Paid so I guess that's why they are red. Still wondering what it means to have no X in either category

Are there rules regarding the actual athletes who won the bid and those who compete at the summit? Or number of crossovers from worlds?

Just hearing rumors of a local team keeping approx 16 of their level 5 athletes around to put on their coed 4 since the majority of the original team didn't want to go to Florida and the owner didn't want to turn down the bid.
