Does anyone know what happened that allowed Cheer Power to award an additional paid bid from the competition this past weekend in Columbus? I think it's great for the girls who now get to go to worlds for free, but I'm just curious how this happens?

How come one of the original at large bids did not move up to a paid bid?

Someone posted the scores on twitter and Supermodels were next in line score-wise for paid. They already had an at-large bid.

Looks like USA has done the same. This was posted on the USA BID COMP thread

Not necessarily. The number of bids an EP can give can increase based on attendance. They are given a set number at the beginning of the season based on past number, but have the option to increase it based on current year numbers.

I just wish EP's were upfront about how many bids they are giving away and how they will give them out, when these issues come up, especially days later it looks shady.
Yes... they know very close to the actual number of competitors at least a week or two before the event so at that time it would makes sense for them to announce additional bids.... idk...

This is what happened with USA. We weren't passed down a bid, they were given additional bids based on attendance!
