Anyone heard any new updates or news on the Summit bids? I am curious to see if there is going to be AL and Paid bids open since I have seen several turned down and if they will still try to pass them down with not much time left.

Anyone know how many paids have been turned down? I know lots of at larges have. I wonder about the future of this going forward. Worlds is funded by the At Large teams. Will the Summit be financially viable if the majority of At Large teams decline? Obviously, with it being the first year, this is uncertain. Maybe more teams will accept an At Large next year with sufficient planning.

I am equally as curious. It looks like they updated the list today and added about 30 names to the list or so. Anyone have a team that has OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED a PAID or AL bid that isn't on the list? That is about 285 teams listed so far with a anticipated 525. We had a AL bid and turned it down because we had a few parents that voted not to go and felt we would get the PAID bid, we did not. Really wish we had that AL bid back :(

Yes, we have 8 teams going not on list. Having all the mandatory "Summit" meetings, you have to pay your at large fees Monday and Tues and officially register this coming Wens. All of our teams are competitors and we are very much looking forward to The Summit and can't speak for the coaches or gym but the parents and kids are just happy to have a bid period for these hard working girls to have their chance to prove it on the mat.

Yeah, I'm real curious about this too. We have a team that got an At-Large bid and from all I know, they're not going. My assumption is because of the cost.

As of March 10th, according to the Event Listings, 83 paid bids should have been given out at that time. On the "Updated March 18th, Paid and AL Bid Winners Listing" 83 teams had accepted paid bids. On the latest listing, I believe I counted 107 paid teams that have accepted and 109 paid bids had been given out. Two of those teams could have been from Mar 22-24 and still debating whether to go. With that said, I don't know if a team turns down a paid bid, if they give it to the next AL in line.

I dont think its updated, our 1/2 yr team won an at large and they are not listed and our bid isnt changed from an at large to a paid bid either. Maybe by the end of next week the list will be updated. I hope its soon, I'd like to see everyone in my division.

No, but cp's team IS on the list with an at large that we turned down and they are not going...LOL

I believe in Jr5 they are going to make all girl go against coed. That kind of takes the prestige out of this already. Can you imagine that at Worlds. LOL. I could be wrong but it sounds silly.

I know for sure my gyms Large Senior Coed 4 has officially accepted (about two or three weeks ago actually) and they're still not on the list. And my Large Senior 3 has accepted but not sent in the deposit yet so We probably wouldn't be on it yet..but this list is still not accurate. Our lj4 is on there though.
