It is definitely going to ruffle feathers, maybe it will wake up people to think about how they act and what they do before it happens. Definitely a must read!

This book is great!!! By the time I got to page 11 (so early on) I realized that this book says all the things that we have all been thinking! Props to Morgan for being strong enough to tell her story!

Wow, I can't believe how much controversy this has stirred up! People are actually going to lengths on Amazon and Facebook bashing the author and saying shes trying to hide all this stuff that she didn't mention. Does anyone know exactly what she's trying to hide??? She just poured her heart out in a tell all book. How is that hiding anything? Every hater out there talking smack is someone who was mentioned in the book - thats a guilty conscience, not the author "trying to hide something". Get real.

Dang it! I thought of writing a cheer world book years ago... Along with opening up a California pizza kitchen before they became popular and a grilled cheese restaurant before they started popping up. Destined to be an almost ran I guess lol. I suppose I have to read the book now!

So - just out of curiosity... for you more legal-minded people out there, if she didn't change people's names (and I can see from the "sample" text that there's at least 4 names which she did not change), can they go after her legally?

I got a chuckle from the intro page with the "certain names have been changed and some dialogue and events have been recreated from memory" disclaimer. If you're writing a book that goes over a five year period of your life, wouldn't most of the events you're documenting be from your memory? And, as a teenager, do you think you really are remembering all of these details? I doubt there are many teenagers who are extensively journaling about all of these events (dates, people, conversations, exactly how they felt as the situation occurred, etc.) as they happen - especially to the degree she was describing in the sample.

And in that note I don't think there's any legal issues either. I'm no lawyer- but I did pay attention in history class and I remember that thing about the first amendment. Pretty sure people an say what they want. Otherwise the news would be illegal, magazines would be illegal, etc
