You don't think it's happening at Cali? Wasn't there just an episode on "cheerleaders" about relationships within the team?

Wow. Really? Innocent teenage relationships with the parents knowing what is happening, versus smoking pot before practice and having sex with the instructor? Nothing alike and shame on you for even suggesting that.

I own my program and coach. I would hire her with zero doubt.
Why? Because I have FULL CONTROL over my program. I know all my athletes very well, I know all my parents very well. I don't tolerate these things. I had a crazy mom issue this season. I removed her and the athlete from the program.
At competitions, I know where my kids are at all times.
I have no problem hiring a "whistle blower". Go ahead, write a book about my cheer program. Use names. Because there's not a single negative thing that has happened that wasn't handled immediately.

Really...you own your own program?? Care to share which program you own? I find it interesting that you are a gym owner yet your introduction to the boards is starting multiple threads promoting a "tell-all book" written by a "friend you met on facebook less than a week ago"

They have a national champion youth silver team.

Also, when you are finished with this scandalous look at the underground Illinois cheerleading world, check out MY tell all book, available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Wal-Mart and Target. 'Complete Cheerleading' is my personal memoir detailing our sensational lifestyles. If you are into literature pertaining to underage drinking, drug paraphanlia, and illegal activities, this book may not be for you. But I really get down to the nitty gritty as it pertains to: jump drills, fundraising tips, and what judges look for!

Small checks will cause one to renew the promotion muscle!

:D

I don't quite understand how she made a dumb decision by telling her story. It is actually quite funny that people who haven't read the book would be bashing it or bashing her. And it is also quite funny that people are surprised about drinking and pot smoking and hooking up. Wasn't there helicopters and police involved at an unauthorized party at the all-star resort almost a year ago? And I could be wrong but are the people that were involved in that whole mess suffering any consequences for it this year?
O
Everyone knows that this goes on, just because it was made public and names were named doesn't make the author a bad person or mean she did something dumb! Maybe this is what needs to be out there to start making some changes in this industry to clean it up.

For the record, cheerleading isn't horrible, but some of the antics that goes on truly are! As the parent of a flyer, I would be beyond furious if I found out that my child's bases were sharing a smoke before they came in the building for practice.
Sky Blue isn't it true that you are Morgan's mom ?

But does it have Grumpy Cat?

Dear Author,

Congrats on finding a publisher for your book! Hope it all works out well!

Sincerely,
Don't ever have the audacity to call "your world" "our world," because I can assure you, honey, our worlds are nothing alike.
My thoughts exactly. It just makes cheer in its entirety look bad. Most of us are good kids (like myself) who are disciplined athletes and students that don't go out to parties and do bad things. So people will now assume that I, being part of the cheer world, do the same things. I'm not going to sugar coat this, or be understanding towards the fact that she is telling her story, because it's just demeaning and quibbling other people in the cheer world who are not trashy.

I made a point early about people who were thinking about putting their child in cheer reading this book.

review from amazon

"This is a MUST READ if you have kids interested in cheer. Cheer is not all about GOOD CLEAN FUN........"
Ummm.... What?!?! A professional, nurturing organization is not all about good clean fun, it's good and clean though in that the things that are good and clean are the passion, dedication, hard work, and competition. I feel bad for this organization because this book may ruin the gym.

[quoti="SkyBlue, post: 742648, member: 11722"]NOPE, Morgan is my friend...and had you read through the other messages you would have seen that I posted I am a mom of several and also a grandmother.[/quote]

So if you arent the mother, you must be the owner of the gym that closed in the middle of the night. You can tell the truth, since you have such a strong opinion. How do you feel about Morgan's mom buying apartment for her at 18 with the supposed drug user. Sad!!
