[quoti="SkyBlue, post: 742648, member: 11722"]NOPE, Morgan is my friend...and had you read through the other messages you would have seen that I posted I am a mom of several and also a grandmother.

So if you arent the mother, you must be the owner of the gym that closed in the middle of the night. You can tell the truth, since you have such a strong opinion. How do you feel about Morgan's mom buying apartment for her at 18 with the supposed drug user. Sad!![/quote]

I always tell the truth and I was a gym owner and closed. Maybe you have never packed up a gym that had been in the same location for 6 years, but it takes awhile and the move out happened over a couple of days and had been planned.

I'm trying to figure out your point beyond the obvious, lets divert attention and create some type of drama towards me?

As far as Morgan having an apartment at 18, I'm not sure what your question is?

So why don't you tell us who you are now? I see you are located in GA, so are you here to defend someone named in the book attending college in GA? Just some general questions since we are all being truthful here.

Awfully interesting that all your posts in the past have to do with same quotes as in book. Coincidence I don't think so. People know why you are sticking up for daughter.

My posts in the past on here? Really? all my posts have to do with trying to get a release from the thief owner of the now defunct famous, and the USASF's lack of help, so you are one totally clueless person.

In my personal opinion, this girl is asking for so much attention and honestly is doing nothing at all to help cheerleading.
I wouldn't have a problem with this book if
1. She didn't call out people.
2. Didn't say the names of people who are/were minors at this time. although they may not be minors anymore, this book was most likely written when some named still were.
3. She didnt come to open gym and then decided to talk trash about our owner in a BOOK.
4. it didnt have terrible grammar/wasnt awfully written.
Some of the details in this book make me cringe. Talking about the way someone put their hands on her waist when partner stunting and all of that isn't needed and truly made me uncomfortable to hear read out loud.
Knowing many of the people talked about in this book, I feel awful for them and I feel embarrassed that this girl is writing things like this. Yes, cheerleading has bad things that happen in the industry. BUT when it comes to writing awful things about people in a book without giving them the chance to defend themselves, that's where it draws the line.
Craig is one of the best people i've ever met and has influenced my life and hundreds of other peoples lives greatly. That is genuinely what i am the most upset about. Also the fact a friend of mine was talked about in order to help this lady trash talk craig.
If you have beef with someone, don't publish a book to get your revenge. As a 17 year old, I would never think to stoop to the level that this woman has. I know Craig would never go up to an athlete and say "hey leave your gym I don't care if you made a time commitment to them, come to my gym." He knew these two athletes from coaching their high school team the year before and asked if they would like to compete with us. One of them stayed and one of them didn't.

I'm honestly just amazed that an adult would write something so immaturely. I understand some moms or other adults will respond to this telling me i'm wrong and that it needed to be said, but it was possible to tell these stories without calling anyone out. I'm disgusted by the immaturity that this woman has showed and she obviously believes that revenge is the best medicine.

then definitely don't read this board, you'll be out of left hands.
I've been on the boards for a while as mostly a creeper and I can handle these people because they're not paid for it! hahaha. This woman is getting paid for this book and isn't using proper sentence structure.

Going to be hard to do anything if there is even the slightest amount of proof.

In general, there are four defenses to libel or slander: truth, consent, accident, and privilege. The fact that the allegedly defamatory communication is essentially true is usually an absolute defense; the defendant need not verify every detail of the communication, as long as its substance can be established. If the plaintiff consented to publication of the defamatory material, recovery is barred. Accidental publication of a defamatory statement does not constitute publication. Privilege confers Immunity on a small number of defendants who are directly involved in the furtherance of the public's business—for example, attorneys, judges, jurors, and witnesses whose statements are protected on public policy grounds.

Accidental publication isn't a defense. And, in the case of the defamation being about a normal, not public-type figure, it would actually hurt the person who wrote it, because private citizens only have to prove negligence as the level of fault (not checking that it was true--which would fall on the publisher in this case I would presume).

There are other defenses though--opinion and rhetorical hyperbole.

But since no one (I'm assuming, I didn't read it so I have no idea who she mentioned) in the book is a public figure, they only have to prove negligence instead of actual malice of defamation.
