Clearly there is no reason to think that ticket = seat. That is the absurdity of the whole situation. Ticket means you have access to MAYBE getting a seat. It will still be first come first served. I struggle with how they can legally do that. Wonder what the ticket actually entitles the bearer to - at the minimum. Watching on the Jumbotron? Entrance into "a" venue but not necessarily the venue of choice? So as long as there is room in Jostens if the Field House is full they have fulfilled their obligation? Seems crazy to me. What other event would people buy expensive tickets to ( although I recognize these tickets are cheap compared to some) when there is no expectation that you can actually experience the event.

They already do this for larger arenas for the Final Four. I am sure they will have a longer break built in. It is not that hard to do..

If you dont go you are escorted out and put in the mouse jail..

This is very true. I am not sure what is worse, going to mouse jail or sitting in the baseball field ahah. We will see how it goes :)

I imagine mouse jail being a smaller than normal cell (kiddie sized) that plays "It's a Small World" 24/7 into the room. Torture!!
Oh lord..going on the ride once a year is enough for me. I will be staying as far away as possible from mouse jail!!

WOW....this is absolutely crazy!! makes me happy i don't have to worry about the whole worlds experience this year!! we have gone to worlds for the past 4 years..2x as juniors and 2x as senior. each year, it got crazier and crazier. i really hope this DOESN'T happen, but i see people getting hurt, badly. and i don't see the disney staff, or usasf staff prepared for it in ANYWAY!!!

in addition the sheer greediness and over the top costs to MAYBE get into this event, (or maybe get trampled). disney is a buttload of $$$ as it is. i'm ashamed to see what cheer has turned to, crazy events, stalking, cheerlebrity, total strangers fighting over comments made on fierce board.

this is a kid's sport and an expensive one at that! and you better believe that USASF (varsity) knows just how expensive it is!! sorry, that was a disjointed thoughts, but i just can't believe it!!

This is what I feel like it is going to turn into:

I certainly can't answer all the questions on here, but hopefully this little tidbit helps. I do know that once the venue is full, they plan to escort people into VIP standing, much like last year. However, since they know it's likely to be the case again, they can actually plan for it and have the attendants/congregating areas outside and help that run better. So while you may not be able to see everyone in a session, you should NOT ever have to miss you child or team of choice.
In addition, I believe the plan is still to have an air-conditioned awards tent (not the baseball field) with both the Jostens & Milkhouse (yes, it will always be the Milkhouse) projected inside.

Hopefully that helps!

OK, I'm sorry if this turns into a "shoot the messenger" post, but why is this even remotely acceptable? Everyone that is in attendance paid the same admission fee to attend this event. How is it alright that some get to spend from sunup to sundown while others get 150 seconds? It is beyond absurd. So potentially I could go, pay $45 to get in and only get to see 2.5 minutes of what I came to see. I know others have said "get there early". How in the world does that solve anything? If everyone with a ticket showed up at 6:00AM they would still run out of seats! I am significantly offended that there is some suggestion that I should be relieved that this is being put into place. The reality is that I am infuriated that the USASF and Disney would consider - for even a second - that this is an acceptable solution to the inevitable overcrowding of venues.

And don't even get me started on the acceptability of a "projected" venue over experiencing it live.....I may just blow a gasket!!!

I'm going to ask what might be a dumb question. If you stay on the package, do you get admission into WWoS every day you're there? Like if I want to go to ICU and ICU partner stunt and 3 days of worlds, can I get into WWoS for 5 days?
From my vague recollection last year, WWoS gates were open for free admission to ICU -probably because no one except the Canadians really go. A girl on my team forgot her hopper pass at semis because she hasn't needed to use it before then to get in. I may be wrong though… but I think your hopper pass is for the Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Now to add my question, if I stay on the package for five days, does the three day hopper pass mean that if I want to go to the magical kingdom on Thursday or Friday I can't use it to get into WWoS on Sunday or Monday?

Park hoppers are separate from WWoS admission. It doesn't matter how many times you go to the parks.

Also I think a five day package includes 5 park hopper days, not 3. But either way your wwos admission is unaffected.

Am I missing something?? How can they GUARANTEE admission?? I don't want to seem like a cynic, but if they let everyone in who has a hopper pass or if everyone purchases a hopper to make sure they are admitted to all three sessions, how can they limit the number of hopper passes sold to the seating capacity of the arena?? Am I asking the right question here? I have no problem purchasing a hopper pass IF it guaranteed me a seat to watch CP in finals, but I am really doubting that they can promise this. Or if buying the hopper JUST admits you to WWoS and you're on your own if you get in in time to get admitted before it hits capacity. Like I said before, this is so confusing to me and is stressing me out
To answer your question, THEY CANNOT! They are not limiting the number of park hoppers being sold. In addition, keep in mind that EVERY ATHLETE COMPETING ALSO GETS ONE. This means, there will be no limits on tickets, even for the Monday sessions, from what I can gather. What would be the sense of limiting the tickets, since there will be THOUSANDS of park hoppers sold in addition to the athlete hoppers that will be there on Monday. This means, mark my words, there WILL be overcrowding again on both Sunday night as well as Monday. The ONLY step they are taking is they will empty out the HP Field house after each session on Monday. So the bottom line is, if you want to get in on Sunday night or Monday to see your kid, you better get there early, or there's a very real chance you will buy a ticket and not be able to get in.

Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner. Exactly what I have been saying from the beginning. So if you don't get there early enough, you may not be able to get in to watch all the teams. Yes, sorry, but your money does not entitle you to watch everyone unless you are an early bird. Only your kid's team.

I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS NEWS. I will say this. If I get there this year and pay to get in and am not able to get into the HP Field house to watch the other teams AS WELL as my childs, I WILL BE GETTING A REFUND. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying to get in then I'm paying to watch. If you want to limit me to only watching my child, then you better discount my ticket well below full price.

Agreed! If it comes to that, we have prelims - $45.00 for 2mins and 30secs! Finals - $45.00 for 2mins and 30secs! And if you're one of the divisions with semis/prelims/finals w/an at-large that makes it through.....3 days at a whopping $120.00 for a total of 7mins and 30 secs!
