Can someone please interpret this for me:
On the marked up version it looks like this (Level 1 Stunts)
G. Pendulum and pendulum style transitional stunts, where the top person falls away from the original bases, must use
at least three stationary catchers, at least two of which are not original bases. Physical contact must be maintained
with all of the original base(s). When lifting a top person from the flat body position in a pendulum to the upright
position, an additional base/spotter must be on the opposite side of the stunt and is responsible for catching the top
person in the case of an overthrow. This additional spotter must be stationary, may not be involved with any other
skill or choreography when the transition is initiated and must maintain visual contact with the top person throughout
the entire transition. (The dip to throw the top person is considered the initiation of the skill.)

On the clean version it is just gone. There is no reference made to pendulum style transitions. Does that mean they are completely allowed with no restrictions on spotters? Or completely disallowed? It's like they took it out and forgot to put it back

Allowed with the spotter restriction in Stunts A.

I'm pretty excited actually about the extensions with one bracer in Level 1. WISH it was allowed this season!

Not sure how I feel sbouth this for mini teams. Kinda scares me with a bunch of 6 year olds that can sometimes barely get an extension up with two braces!

Just because something is allowed doesn't mean you should do it
You are exactly right, but I worry that some coaches would push to get this in to maximize the score sheet. I'm not saying no one should do it just that now that it is legal, I worry that some are going to feel they HAVE to put it in to be competitive.

Well if your team can execute the stunt safely then do it. I agree though, I really hope some coaches don't push something they shouldn't just to max the score out. But just because its allowed doesn't mean you are required to do it- just gives more room for safe creativity :)

I have a brand new level 1 team at a brand new cheer program. Last year my girls couldn't even do forward rolls, and didn't even know what a toe touch was. However, stunting is their biggest strength. Now, given, my flyers are 40 pounds, but I have found to have much success with my 8 year olds basing and back spotting the 6 year olds.
Again, every team is different. Every team excels in different areas.
You are right though, I just really do hope some coaches use "perfection before progression" And don't sacrifice safety for maximum points.

Sorry - it was fixed as soon as someone brought it to my attention.
Glad to hear it :) I would have no idea who to send an email to regarding the typo (bc I'm sure you know word specifics are probably important to the interpretation of the rules lol)
