Bit of an update to this story.. Shapel and Jacob received the USASF's Leadership through Sportsmanship award this year, and Shapel also just won his first ever world's ring. What a great year its been for both of them!

I'm willing myself not to burst out in a full-out sob this late at night, but this is such a beautiful story! I love hearing stories about the good in this world; especially amazing stories about our young people!

just to add to this story when jacob flew out for the leadership award he was able to come watch stealth perform at us trials there's pictures all over facebook!
