My team got a bid last weekend in Nashville. We probably wont go. I dont like how you have no clue if your going to get a bid. Then when you do, you only have less than a month to prepare for it, Physically and finnacially . We already went on three travel trips this season and everyone is pretty much spent out for the season, But at the same time who knows if we'll even get a bid next year. It seems like and oppurtunity that is too good to pass up.

I apologize, I've been out of the office at One Up and haven't had the chance to get confirmation on everyone's questions until now. I'll do my best to answer them all to the best of my knowledge.

The Varsity arena (the tent everyone is talking about) is not being used for routines. It will specifically be for awards. The only two venues being used for routines at The Summit are the field house and J Center.

We should have a final team list and a block schedule by the end of the week.

WCMAN approximately 500 teams including dance competed at UCA All Star. We are currently at over 300 teams competing at The Summit.

There will be NO division splits at the Summit (example:Level 2 Large Youth 2 Division A and Level 2 Large Youth 2 Division B).

For divisions with less than 5 teams, all the teams will advance to finals with a clean slate of scores on day 2.

We are doing our best to give everyone that will be competing at The Summit the same prestige no matter what venue they are competing in.

just to clarify, will all teams get to compete on both days? for example I know there are over 20 teams in the small jr 2 division. are there prelims on Saturday & semi finals & then finals on sunday? or do they all compete day 1 and only top 5 advance to day 2??

They all compete day 1, and top 5 move on to finals. No scores carry over.

Really makes me wish I could compete. Too bad my gym only accepts paid bids. Oh well, there's always next year. Can't wait to hear the feedback for this competition!

WHOA tiger - There are two Spirit Explosion teams listed for J4- one has a paid and one has an at large bid. Are these both the same team or two different ones? Thank you! Looking forward to seeing all the teams perform at the SUMMIT!

For the sake of me having to go through 21 pages in this thread - does anyone have a link for a schedule or list of teams attending the Summit?

I think this is a growing pain however the blame can not be placed on the EP. If your gym declared early in the season that IF you received a bid you would attend then you could prepare. Bids are EARNED not just given. If you don't earn a bid you don't get to go. That's the whole point around a bid.
