How will the teams work between the 2 gyms now then? Will you set up different teams and keep the ones you've got now in dallas? Or will you decide when you've got teams all finalised as to where they'll train??

Is CA going to have Worlds Showoffs this year? I know that CA had Worlds Showoffs last year.

Btw, good luck for all CA teams at worlds 2013! :)

Will the Austin location field Allstar teams for the 2013-2014 season? Late May to early June is after all the other Austin gyms' tryouts....

So I watched your skills video and I feel like its a great video across the board for all parents at any gym

But I couldn't help but notice the level 5s

I watched the restricted 5 and the other level 5

My question is if your under 12 non worlds eligible & you have jumps to back and running and standing specialty tumbling thru to full could you qualify for a possible j5 or y5? Or do you have to have a double and or standing full to be considered?

Assuming the kids meets the other criteria's such as stunting/jumps/dance

I must have missed that video, is it in a thread here or do you have the youtube link? :)

We have a few details to finalize, but yes, the CA Family will soon be expanding to the Austin area.

Not gonna lie......I may be more excited about this than CP!!!
Thank you for moving closer so that my CP actually has a shot at trying out for her dream.

(and no, I don't think you did this for her  )

BlueCat I bought the pink NCA panthers shirt in an AS, and it's a bit long on me, I requested to pick my CA Cheetahs and CA program tank top up at the gym to save money on shipping....so would it be possible to bring the Panther shirt up there with me and exchange it for an AXS?

Please email [email protected]. I don't know the answer to that.

Austin and Dallas are about a 3 hour drive from each other, so each gym will have it's own unique teams. We will pick the best teams possible from the people who try out at each location. We will try to avoid putting teams in the same division if possible, but that will depend entirely on what is best for each gym.

Our tryouts have typically finished in early to mid May, so that is not significantly different than what our Plano teams have done. We can't control when other gyms try out.

We are 100% sure that we are starting an Austin program within a month or two. We are still deciding/negotiating between a couple of good options for the exact location. We already have equipment ready to go (in Austin already, in fact.) We have staff willing to move there to work who are incredibly excited about the opportunity. (We also have some fantastic coaches we are adding this season to the Plano gym as well.) We are fully committed to having a fantastic program that will be a great home for athletes of all ages and experience levels.

We would normally wait until we had every detail ironed out, have a slick information packet ready to hand out, and THEN announce that we are going to start a new program. However, we realize that some potential athletes may not still be available if waited to make the announcement in a couple of weeks. That is why we went ahead and "let the cat out of the bag" despite the fact that there are still a detail or two to iron out.

NOTE: We do NOT have "contracts" and do not believe in them. We also strongly believe in the quality of the service we provide and don't typically need some ink on a piece of paper to convince athletes to stay on our teams. In the rare occasion that someone decides not to continue with our program, they can simply let us know and that is it. We aren't going to sue a 7 year old for deciding she would rather play soccer than cheer.

I have been asked multiple times about our tryouts. We do everything we can to take every single athlete that comes to tryouts and put them on a team. "Tryouts" is really just about team placement, not whether you are in the program. (This is true for pretty much every gym in the country, by the way.)

We have been in the unusual position the last couple of years of having a large number of people waiting until AFTER tryouts and THEN wanting to join our program. Once teams are set, it is much more difficult to place new athletes, but usually we can make it work. At times, though, we were actually putting people on waiting lists to get on to our teams. Eventually, they almost always got placed, but it took several weeks in some cases and some of them ended up on lower level teams than they probably would have been on otherwise. This is likely where the "athletes get cut" rumor is coming from.

It is important to note that this only happened to people who came in AFTER tryouts. By far, the easiest way to make a team is to be a part of the regular tryout process.

The best thing to do is to email the CA Pro Shop! Those shirts run long :)
Thanks for supporting CA!!!
