Heartbreaking. What a tragedy. My thoughts and prayers with all who knew and loved him.

I think there needs to be harsher punishment but more than that people just need to start living compassionately.
People make stupid jokes about stereotypes and you see shows that mock people and kids/teens see these and it is all supposed to be okay because it is only a show or only a joke.
An exercise I did with my scouts is to take a piece of paper and write something mean you would call someone (this is when I first caught one use the word loser about another girl). Then I had them crinkle up that paper as hard and as small as they could. I had them open up the paper and erase the word to where they could not see it and flatten the paper till it was back to the way it was before with no lines -- of course they could not get there. I then had them write positive words on another piece of paper about someone and make an airplane and fly it as far and as high as they could - we then explained the paper was someone's heart and that words can have a huge impact even more than fists. Because our body can heal from a punch but a little part of our heart is permanently hurt from each nasty negative thing said to us. I asked them which made them feel better as well.
As long as our society thinks mocking others is okay things won't change - and beautiful sensitive souls will continue to die.

:( Its so awful to hear about our boys who are just doing what they love, and yet there is always some to have an opinion on it.
I was bullied when I was really young so its always heartbreaking that it lead to suicide. Prayers from Australia my heart goes to the family and my middle finger goes to the people who bullied him (and thats nothing to the hatred I feel for kids like that).
