Not sure, but I would imagine must less than last year. Due to the Summit being in the same place as UCA, I am sure most gyms would choose one or the other. That is, of course, depending on the success of the Summit this year.

Maybe, maybe not. UCA is behind the Summit, so I don't think they would have started it if they believed it would significantly decrease attendance. Also, the Summit isn't open to everyone, and teams have no way of knowing if they will get a bid or not, while they do know they can go to UCA. It will be interesting to see for sure.

We went this year, but will not be returning. Not that our experience was bad (our team came in 1st), but it's waaayy too expensive. I'm glad CP had the experience of performing in front of the castle though :D

Our gym goes every other year. Our senior teams go every year, though, so they'll be there.

All of stars vipers teams will be at NCA and UCA!! Also- Which ever teams get bids to Summit next year will be going.

(Unless the 1 team were sending this season doesn't like it then I imagine they will pull out)

I cannot wait for Disney and twice is fine with me!!!

I heard teams now need a bid to attend uca nationals. Couldn't find anything on the website. Does anyone have more info on this ? Are there going to be limited bids, criteria for earning a bid, etc.

I think they've always needed a bid but that it was not a major deal to get one. It just meant you needed to attend a UCA qualifying regional event.

Last year they gave a bid to I think every team that competed at UCA Regionals... I liked that every team had to compete, because then when the schedule came out I could easily stalk them and see how they did at the regional. :D

Sadly, we are not going back this year. I'll need at least another year to get over the sting of second place.... Oh yeah, and the parents can't afford it two years in a row...

Thanks, I guess I never realized this was a bid competition since no one really mentions getting bids to uca nationals.

It is possible not to get a bid if your score is just too low but I think this truly happens very infrequently.
