Hey. So my groupstunt I coach will might come to European championship this year in Glasgow.
I was just wondering if anyone could help me which way is the best way to come to Glasgow.
Which airport (edingburgh or glasgow?) I was looking we would fly to London and than take train to Glasgow. Anyone have any more ideas ?
I have meeting with the parents on Friday and I have to tell them how we will get there.

Thanks

I don't know the price difference, but the train journey from London to Glasgow is a bit long! Also, depending on which London airport you fly to (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted or City), the transfer from the airport to Euston is also a bit of a journey! Your best bet really is flying to Glasgow! Or perhaps a city further north in England. My knowledge is a bit limited as I'm a Londoner, perhaps a Scottish person will come and add to my ramble :)

I found flight from Dusseldorf to Edinburgh. And we would take train to Glasgow for £12

Nikaa if you can get a flight to Glasgow the airport is right on the edge of the city and only takes about 20 minutes/half an hour to get into the city centre. If not Edinburgh to Glasgow by train doesn't take to long.

I'm bringing a junior stunt group over and having a meeting with the parents on Saturday to decide where to stay :)

Thanks! If I'm going i am bringing junior group stunt too ;)
But it's expensive! Flight, hostel, competition fee = 370€
and we went to Paris a month ago which was pretty expensive too.

I know. I was wondering if there was any way we could just pay an entry fee and find somewhere else to stay because they are crazy prices. I have sent the travel package on to the parents in advance so they don't crack on Saturday when we try to decide what to do.

Hi i'm from Scotland and also competing at European Championships again this year in Senior All Girl L5. Your best option is to fly to Glasgow if not fly into Edinburgh then get the train to Glasgow. Doesn't take to long on the train (roughly an hour or less depends how many stops). So excited to have the European Championships in our home country this year!! Good Luck to you all and see you there!!

So we decide we are going to Europeans!! :) So excited. Anyone who lives in Glasgow. Which places are good to visit? Like glasgow sightseeing.

Whatever you do don't fly to London and then get the train up. That would cost double what it would to just fly to Glasgow and take twice the amount of time. Flying to Glasgow or Edinburgh is definitely your best option.

There's a really great City Sightseeing bus tour in Glasgow. I've done it three times in the past two years with foreign friends and its always enjoyable. Takes you around the whole city and it's hop on hop off so you can visit wherever you like. Kelvingrove Park and Museum are lovely as are the Botanic Gardens. Our science museum is pretty cool too.

I'm probably going to come watch at Europeans so I'll see you there :)
