You can still look like a team by wearing jeans and matching tshirts and not look like you just rolled out of bed.

I know that I have only ever once worn jeans on a flight and that was because they were my favorite pair. I feel so uncomfortable in jeans sitting in one spot for hours, they get stuck to the chair and all that :/ ... I guess I just always look like I just rolled out of bed when I fly :)

I like the cheetahs travel outfit but I wish the tanks were a little smaller. They're baggy which is good but they're like EXTREMELY baggy not just a little big. It might just be because they're tiny but it almost looks like a dress. But it's a cute idea and I love the leggings! They're comfy for sure.

I completely agree with you! Sometimes I think coaches and manufacturers want to order and make practice wear and uniforms that are super pretty and sparkly but not very practical for every body type on the teams. They sometimes forget whose wearing it and how many crazy awesome things they have to do in that outfit.

At the end of the day if someone's top slips the parents are coming to you, the coach, because you made the call to order a 'cute' sports bra. Which is another thing. It is a SPORTS bra. Built for athletic wear and NOT to look cute doing flips in. It doesn't seem like a logical practice top to me. I rather be secure and comfortable than cute and sparkly. Hey it's awesome if you don't have to compromise but I for one have my priorities straight.

I guess I care more because I actually have boobs and understand how you actually need support and what not and I don't see that top accommodating to the sports feel nor the purpose of a proper sports bra.

Well you really shouldn't be bashing these girls and everything they wear. So what if its cute and sparkly? It's the biggest event of the year and if they want to look good then so be it! Who doesn't love to wear cute things? It's a nice confidence boost and that's just what they need. What they want to wear and I'd they choose pretty over plain is their decision.

She's not bashing them? And she never said it can't be cute and sparkly, she said she'd rather have a secure option. "I rather be secure and comfortable than cute and sparkly. Hey it's awesome if you don't have to compromise" as in "if you can get a cute sports bra that is supportive, awesome! But I'd rather have a supportive, not so sparkly one than a non-supportive glitzy one."
Nobody is bashing "these girls and everything they wear" they're just saying that they, personally, would not like wearing a one shoulder sports bra and don't think it's practical.

I would also like to point out that a majority of the CA teams departed at 4:30 this morning and with TSA, leggings, flip flops, and baggy tanks were probably the fastest way to keep the kids happy and through security quickly.
That and Chik-Fil-A chicken minis...that seems to make them happy as well.

Nope I promise I am not bashing them. I think if you can have both a beautiful pretty sparkly option that is also practical to wear then thats wonderful! You can make things that both practical and beautiful. I think for me I just wouldn't want anything to slip out and make someone uncomfortable myself included. I also think I might also be a little boob conscious since having a baby 2 months ago .

Honest question...do you really think people are going to respect or not respect our industry because of what they are wearing to the airport?

If they are all dressed the same, they'll look cohesive. They'll look like a team.

Actually I think they wore what they would like to the airport. Some wore shorts and I worlds jacket.

I just think it looks sloppy and completely inappropriate for the airport. Wear this kind of thing around competitions all you want, but running around in the airport like this isn't going to make people respect cheerleaders any more. The worst part is the flip flops.

Girl, you are whack! No one gives a crap what people are wearing in the airport! Everyone dresses in comfortable clothes for flights! INFACT! I am pretty sure that almost every sports team whom is traveling together, travels in slouchy comfortable clothing. No one is going to be like "OH MY GOD! That cheerleader is running around the airport in a slouchy tank, leggings and flip flops!" Ain't nobody got time for that.
