All-Star The End Of The Cheer Road

Worlds will be the final time my two daughters will compete in cheer. One is retiring and going off to the University of South Carolina the other going to graduate from U of L. Both girls have done everything you can do in cheerleading, tons of 1st places, 2nds, last place, and they have won at worlds. They have learned so much from cheering, not just cheering but discipline, sportsmanship, friendship and so much more. I would have never had this much time to spend with my girls if it was not for cheering. I am not going to say I will not miss it ( I will not miss the money end) but I will. I have meet so many parents and kids from all over the country and all I can say what great people are in the cheer world. Good Luck to my girls on their last time, Go Kim and Hollie, Go GT Pink Ladies, Go WC Suns. If you see a big guy teary eyed that will be me give a wave.

It's safe to say that cheerleading is in a better place now because of parent like you and your wife. I have had the pleasure of knowing you and your kids. Your girls are strong independent ladies that will beca success where ever and what ever they do.

You will be missed my friend and don't think that you are off the hook for a few road trips to see a game or two.

You are the true cheerfan

That brought tears to my eyes. It makes me realize that even though my CP can cheer for another 3 years, it is going to go so quickly. I hope you have a wonderful time at Worlds making memories with your girls. GOOD LUCK!!!!

That is so cool that both of your daughters were able to experience the pinnacle of all-star cheer! I, too, have two CPs and can't imagine what it would feel like to see both of them perform at Worlds. They are currently true level 4 cheerleaders so there is hope for me! I hope you have a wonderful experience at your last competition with your daughters!

My days are numbered this year also. 12 years. I guess there is always college cheer.

The final journey has started, both girls are at worlds with their teams. I drove my youngest one and dropped her off at the airport for her last cheer fly away. We leave tonight on a red eye to worlds. The big weekend has finally come, it is just starting to hit us as a family this will be the end of the road for allstar cheer. I will come back on here to let you know about how our weekend at worlds progresses. Lets go have some fun and good luck to all.
