Yeah, I get that in order to hold everything it's needed I just wish they weren't designed the way they were. It just seems silly to me to have uniforms like f5's and Austin and whoever else has a semi circle of mesh in the bellies. The way I see it is you go all or nothing fully covered or just straight crop tops... (Unless they do something like fierces uni last year with the leotard because for some reason I adored those)

When I first saw the TG uniforms, I thought everything was great except the socks/leg things. Then, when I watched the video, I couldn't help but to think it was pure genius! By having a the socks, the jumps & tumbling synchronize well with the boys pants. They align beautifully & really show off the clean lines.

I'm sorry but can't we just go back to normal uniforms with a little bling? These are getting rediculous... If we want outsiders to take our sport more seriously than shouldn't we look more like athletes? Sorry for ranting..
And this is kinda contradicting what I posted BUT I really love that top gun uniform...

Its weird of CA to put out such a.. different... uniform. I always thought of their uniforms as Athletic-looking. Like pretend Stingrays, with their athletic uniforms, wearing a mesh leotard. I just don't understand, CA.

I don't think these unis are going to make people take our sport less seriously. Sure, they look more like costumes than uniforms, but they cover more skin and that's always a plus. Maybe not always, but think about the unis from last year with the crop tops. A lot of people call cheerleaders sluts for wearing short skirts/shorts and crop tops. Maybe these people will see the athletes for their abilities now that they have a one piece

World Cup's uni was flawless looking on the floor! Clean, athletic, no crazy busy stuff and the sparkle was perfect. They need to go back to their beautiful curls though.
Top Guns minus the leg things was very pretty.
So glad Wildcats still have those gorgeous GK ones from last year!

I think they absolutely do make people take our sport less seriously. We can cover more skin without making our uniforms look ridiculous and costumey.
I was just talking to a gymnast friend the other day and her exact words were "Cheer should be a sport but your costumes are holding you back". I corrected her and said they were uniforms and she proceeded to refer to them as costumes. At first I couldn't see why but after today I realize, if I didn't know cheer, I would definitely think these were costumes and I definitely wouldn't take the sport seriously.
