All-Star The Summit-bids

I have seen quite a few posts on here where cheerleaders competed at Worlds and are then scheduled to compete at The Summit. I know there are no rules regarding crossovers, I was just curious how they are able to compete in both. Are they competing on a restricted 5 team? Did they double-team on another level? Neither one of my CPs are going to The Summit even though both of their teams received bids so I am just curious.

I know of one athlete who is competing at both. She is the gym owners' daughter and filling in on a lower level junior team after competing this weekend in small coed. Pulling in a kid who lives at the gym anyway makes it easier for everyone. One kid doesn't make or break a team, but I can definitely see how this rule could be used to stack teams

They are allowed to compete on a team they haven't competed on before so basically any level 5 Senior can compete on a level 2-4 team as long as they meet the age requirement....some teams may "stack" their team with higher level cheerleaders for a lower level team. Senior 5 kids can compete on their gym's senior 2 team if they want. Or Junior team if of age. I certainly hope there is not a lot of sandbagging but there are no rules against it. We are using our original team, less one girl who was gone at the end of the season.

The fact that there is no rule against "sandbagging" will be the death nail for this competition. A gym that reports that they won their Senior 3 division with the majority of the team comprised of level 5 athletes should be ashamed of themselves. There is no pride in that.

There is a team in the s3 division that has a team compromised of level 5 athletes?? Great that's the division we are in !

Is there going to be a Webcast /stream available for Summit, too? I bought the Worlds Live/VOD, we're going to Summit, so folks at the gym think I know. I don't know.

Couldn't it be considered sandbagging every competition that you use crossovers in a different level. What makes the Summit different. Just give it your best and win...
Yes it is considered sandbagging when higher level athletes compete on lower level teams, regardless of the competition. But unlike NCA, which has set rules in place to curtail this practice, winners of competitions that allow sandbagging, like The Summit, will never be taken seriously and teams that participate in this practice will never have legitimate bragging rights to these "elite" competitions.

According to Varsity's website coverage will be $14.99 PER VENUE, per day. Yes, I'll say it again...per venue. So in case you have 2 kids performing in 2 venues, (or even 1 kid performing in both venues) you would have to spend $30 for each venue PER DAY! Ouch.

Thank goodness I only NEED to watch 1 division, but I could see myself getting greedy on Sunday and buying both venues.

The pricing is the exact same as it was for NCA

If a team wins a bid with 10 crossovers then what do they do.The rule can't be just at the Summit and NCA or it will never work.

In my case I'm filling in on our Restricted Coed 5 team & I just competed at worlds with our i5. I've been on i5 all season & filled in on Restricted for the first half of the season for an injury & now a girl couldn't go to Summit so I'm taking her place. I don't see an issue since it's the same level & I throw the same skills but I do see how there could be a sandbagging issue from stacking other Summit teams with Worlds kids.

If I buy the live feed, will the VODs have full routines or pieces cut out like NCA? I mean, regardless, I am someone that will buy the feed, I just wonder if I need to. . .
