I need help getting recruited. I'm a male, sophomore in high school(Age 15). My names's Nick, and I REALLY want to do college cheerleading. I Obviously want to get a scholarship, but who doesn't??

Are there any ways, other than the cheerleading agency that help people get noticed.

I have high level tumbling. My current pass is roundoff arabian stepout round off back handspring, back handspring, layout. With a little work I could have a full in no time.

Please help me?Nick:)"

E-mail the coach for the school you're looking at going to and let them know your interest. Ask them what they are looking for in their male cheerleaders etc.. Go to as many clinics as the colleges you want to go to as possible, e-mail the coach letting them know you'll be there.

Make sure you apply early so you get an acceptance before the schools tryouts.

This is the way to go. Many coaches have full time or second jobs around their college cheer coaching positions. They don't have hours on end to recruit and travel and watch kids. Email the coaches, tell them who you are and what you can do, just like you did here. In addition to finding a recruit they also find someone who isn't afraid to go after something they want which makes you look all the better.

Best of luck (and you should definitely talk to KU Cheer Coach too!)

Go to cheer clinics at colleges that have Co-Ed teams. I know Hofstra on LI is Co-ED and they hold clinics several times through the year and they welcome High School Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and transfers. There are ones planned for this March and April. Great learning experience and exposure to college cheer. If you need more information let me know!

Go to as many clinics as you can! Always keep working on your skills! It wouldn't be a bad idea to get in touch with the coach of the school you're interested in. Maybe make a highlight video and get it out to coaches! Just get yourself known as much as possible!

well..this is how my girl got recruited. She did attend a UofL clinic as a junior , where she met people and got some great critique. She then mad a youtube video early her senior yr for a scholarship she was trying out for. People saw that video and steered her to SFA where she got some great training, scholarship and 2 titles! She wasnt an All Star Cheerlebrity...just a very hard worker with an awesome attitude. Go to clinics...meet people and work on those skills! Best wishes to you!

Get good grades and get academic scholarships is my recommendation. Most schools are not "recruiting" like they do for NCAA sports. Most colleges have very small "scholarships" to give, like $1000 for books and maybe meals. Some schools will offer in-state tuition vs. out of state tuition as an incentive. But don't look for much more than that. Always exceptions, but those are few and far between.

SCHOLARships...means being a scholar, as well as an athlete.

Make a skills video...send it to all the schools you want to study at (not cheer at) and then start attending clinics the ONLY way to get noticed is to make them notice you! Contact is key
