OK, I get the rational for the VIP section, but come on people. You are acting like these people pulled that 25K out of their pockets. It's a business investment. Without the support of these fans that they are displacing they would have no business at all. Remember, the source of that 25k was US! That's kinda like saying that your tax refund is a gift from Uncle Sam.

Another thing that I wish would change, but never will, is this crazy focus on maxing out the score sheet and not on putting on a really great performance. Yes I know everyone wants to win and thats why we go to competitions but what about the performance factor? I think thats why a lot of people talk so much about the routines from 2007, 2008 and 2009 as being their favourite years of cheerleading because there seemed to be that focus on putting on an awesome show not on how many fulls or doubles there are in a routine.
I am also tired of watching teams that may drop a stunt and then they stop smiling, stop getting into the routine, don't throw their assigned passes etc... I was always taught by my coaches that if a stunt falls to pretend it didn't happen and just keep smiling and performing. I am tired of seeing the bad attitudes.

i actually heard an athlete on TGLC say that thats what they felt they were missing. top gun used to be the team you'd show someone who didn't know cheerleading because they were SO entertaining. last year especially, top gun started trying to max out the score sheet and ended up losing some of their preformance factor. this year an athlete said the goal was the bring the "old top gun" back and put on an amazing show instead of focusing on the scoresheet, and look what happened at worlds.. more teams need to start doing this!

I'm sure thwy'll still be people conplaining till next year. think of the kids from HOT5 and MACS how excited they were for 4th and 3rd made me tear up a little. seeing a picture hot5 crowd around that 4th place trophy. So happy for them.

Thank you! We are still on cloud 9 about not only making it to finals, but finishing forth. I died at awards lol

After attending Worlds for many years, my mind has now been blown by the Worlds scoring thread. Based on that, and the ambiguity of the Worlds score sheet, I'm now left wondering how does a team actually go about maxing it out?

some teams can pull off hitting the score sheets well, and still have an entertaining routine by adding in a little flair here and there within certain parts, then they're are others that only care about the score and have a boring looking routine. i could name one that on one side i do love their program, but on the other side their routines bore me to death compared to everyone in their division..... then again i dont want everyone to have a mini b**** fit over me calling them out.

i get that worlds is the one comp. that all these teams want to win, but winning with a semi boring routine just seems to ruin the fun of watching. then to have to listen to everyone complain about how the other team deserved it more.. blah blah blah idk, to each their own i guess.

I think I know who you are talking about and I completely agree with you but my lips are sealed too:D

I may stand alone on this but I LOVE the way GA did their hair.

I've seen this hair style and clip before in dance and baton twirling. It's cute! Just not fit for a cheer comp...unless your routine is genie themed. Bows /headbands are in right now and aren't budging for a while. I don't think those clips will be trending in cheer. Ever. There is no cheer without bows. I mean could you imagine clips hanging off backpacks? "Hey, will you sign my hair clip?" Lol it's just not right.

I saw a lot of this and I have to say that I agree with you. I saw so many kids mess up early on and let it dictate how they acted and performed for the rest of the routine (kept dropping, didn't throw their pass, crying during the dance, etc.) I can't tell you how many people I saw crying and kept crying throughout the routine!! I was like, "well maybe you had a shot, but now I don't think you do bc you kept visibly crying, pouting, and messing up the rest of the routine". I understand how very emotional it is, trust me I get that. But how does that saying go.. "never let 'em see you sweat"? I was shocked at how many good teams had these kind of incidents.
