No offense to you daniV but do you have animosity against south elite? I've seen a handful of snarky posts from you in regards to the program and also saw a post from you on the wscca Facebook page about the lack of videos from other worlds teams-connect and NV. I can't help but think you have underlying problems with them and that's the reason you always have negative posts when it comes to south.

dont have a problem with South Elite at all. I know quite a few kids there and there gym has always been very supportive of ours. I waited two hours after we went at Summit to stick around and support the Washington teams - NV and South. I just dont agree with crossing level 5 athletes down to a lower level for Summit - I am a strong advocate for no worlds athletes allowed at Summit. There were quite a few kids crossing down from a high profile level 5 team to a level 4 team... I dont agree with that.

As for the WSCCA comment... There were other Washington level 5 teams that were also at worlds and they deserved recognition as well.

Well when any team from the northwest can do any part of cheer as well as diamonds can stunt, I'm sure they will get the same recognition!

Again no offense to you DaniV, but in one sentence you state you don’t have a problem with South, but in another sentence you state “There were quite a few kids crossing down from a high profile level 5 team to a level 4 team… I don’t agree with that” Considering that South is currently one of the few “high profile” teams in the Pacific NW, I would assume (and I HATE to assume anything) that you are again referring to South. Since I have a child on this team I feel I can again state that there were ONLY 5 Diamond members that crossed to Onyx. These athletes crossed to Onyx AFTER the last competition of the regular season. I want to remind you that the Onyx team placed 3rd at UCA and 1st at PacWest Nationals, before ANY Diamond members joined this team. When it was decided that Onyx would go to The Summit there were several kids from the Onyx team that could not go due to financial reason or grades in school. So the gym had two options… Rework the ENTIRE routine or replace some of the kids with team mates that were already going to be in Orlando.
What I do find interesting is that you don’t mention the other team in this area that has a small coed level 5 team and a large coed level 4 team. This team’s ENTIRE small coed level 5 crosses over to their large coed 4 team. Looking at their team pictures it like playing which picture isn’t like the other. Do I like that they do this? NO… But they are following the rules created by USASF and/or Varsity and I respect them for it. A lot of teams follow these same rules.
I understand that you don’t agree with the rules that allow team mates that compete on a level 5 team to cross over to a lower level team at The Summit. I’m guessing you feel strongly about this since NW Xtreme competed in the Small Senior 2 and the Small Senior 3 divisions, and both of these divisions were extremely competitive. What I don’t agree with, is you calling specific gyms out on this board because of false information that you or someone else thinks they know.
You and I have agreed on a lot of things before and am sure we will agree on a lot of things in the future, but calling gyms out because you don't agree with something they did or didn't do, that was within the rules is not something I will ever agree with
I want to apologize to the original poster of this thread, because it seems to have been hijacked for Pacific NW/South Elite drama.

After watching the LSC4 division at the Summit, it was extremely obvious that a significant number of the teams competing in this division had more than a handful of level 5 cheerleaders on their team.

Were those teams amazing to watch? Yes. Do I think it's unfair? Absolutely. I have read many arguments on the boards that even though there are level 5 athletes on a level 4 team, that it shouldn't matter because they can only throw level 4 skills. But to witness it and see all of the combination tumbling passes and the higher difficulty stunts those athletes can do...well, the true level 4 teams simply can't compete with that.

I saw a few of those teams hit perfect routines at the Summit and still not make finals because their raw scores simply cannot compare.

The rules are what they are, and you cannot change what is out of your control. I just find it unfair. I am not posting this to start an argument, but just to vent. I hope those that do not agree, can respect my opinion.

Sorry for everyone that I offended - I have my reasons for feeling how I do but will not elaborate on them anymore at this time. Let me state it for the record I do not have a problem with South Elite as a gym (some decision, I don't agree with). Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Let the thread continue....

did anyone watch large junior 4 division?

Yes the Level 4 division was hands down awesome!!! Every single team was amazing and I can’t recall being at any other competition with this caliber of talent. My daughter is on a Large Jr. 4 team which ended up winning the division. I am 100% sure that this division was close (I could not even call it and believe me I usually can). We were informed that they received the highest level 4 score for the day (and we have no level 5 crossovers on our team):).. Just saying. So proud of this entire division and loved the competition. I would never compare this competition to Worlds (that alone is in its own elite category). However I am grateful for the opportunity for my daughters team to compete against some of the best teams across the nation.

Our team was in the LCS4 division and it was a really difficult division. Lots of talent. Our team was truly comprised of level 4 athletes and we hit an amazing routine 2 days in a row. Star athletics were amazing

I watched Star! I loved them...I know the owner Lee - he is my friend's stepson....I was glad to see him and say hello :) Great gym...Great owner...

This is our LS5RC routine from Saturday. One of our tumblers bounced forward and fell- we were in first. Sunday we had a stunt fall in the tic toc and we lost by .67 to South jersey storm surge who were very deserving. Very proud of our kids.

The thing I appreciate most about your post is your recognition of the team that won all the while giving credit to your team! THANK YOU for the classy sportsmanship you showed in this post! I wish everyone could be gracious like this no matter what place they finish in! Good Luck to Vizion in the future!

Good luck this weekend. My cp's team competed against your sr lg coed 3 at NCA. You guys were amazing.
Thank you so much! Our senior large coed 3 actually took home the Summit rings! And boy was it an uphill battle. Day two we lost our center dancer and a main base to a serious knee injury. They had to stop our routine midway. But one of our junior girls stepped in and 20 minutes later they miraculously hit the routine of a lifetime. Thanks so much for the compliment...
