this past year i cheered for Valley Elite Allstars and we have a senior restricted level 5 so we would not be attending worlds. I got a call from the owner of Spirit Explosion and was asked to perform at worlds with FAB 5. Best moment of my life :cloud9:
Congrats! That is awesome that your gym owner had no problem signing a release! Hope you had a blast competing at Worlds!

my coach is always bagging on me saying that "id never get my tuck or standing bhs" (terrible coach, i know) so last week i went to practice abd did my roundolph bhs tuck by myself for the first time ever 7 TIMES! I never really land my standing bhs I land in a push up position, so I tried it and did backwalkover bhs step out roundolph bhs!

Last night I got a call from a gym CP took some tumbling and 1 flying class at a few weeks ago. She called to offer CP a flying spot on their Senior 4 team. CP didn't even try out and doesn't even turn 10 until next month. This isn't a small gym it is actually now part of a large gym. CP was so flattered but turned it down because she really has her sights set somewhere else. But I thought that was so cool!

My CP is 11 years old and made the senior restricted 5 team at our gym. Back in February, she had her tuck and was just starting to work on her layout. She wasn't throwing a standing tuck either. She went to Battle at the Capitol on Junior 2 & 3. She met a lovely young lady who had won Worlds with Senior Elite the previous year. My CP was in awe of her ring, and came home determined to go to Worlds one day with her gym. I always knew that someday she would, but I was not ready for the fierce determination she brought back. She threw herself into her tumbling and quickly mastered her layout and standing tuck. She is now consistently throwing her full on the floor with amazing height. She most recently started working on her standing 2 to a full and her 3 toe touches to a tuck. I went from believing she would one day hopefully go to worlds to realizing she could be there next year - the very first year she is age eligible!!!

My biggest brag on her, though, is her attitude. At 11 she is totally dedicated to her sport! She has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. And for her, there will be no going to worlds with any gym but the one she is currently at. We are a small gym who sent a small team to worlds twice over the past few years. There are many large gyms close by but she would never leave her cheer family!!!
