Remember that someone somewhere taught you those amazing skills that you are now proudly using at a new gym. They invested into you and may be stunned and hurt that you have moved on. Show a little grace and say thank you.

If an athlete moves on, let them go. Don't hold them back whether you agree with their decision or not. Let them go knowing you did the best you can while you could with them. You should have no regrets if you did that. And if you treat them right and they discover that they don't like it where they were, they will come back.
great points.

-Thou shalt not make grandiose statements about how awesome your (or any) team is immediately after tryouts and before you have even had one practice. Please learn each others names first before posting things of this nature. :D

Also, thou shalt not allow thy cp to quit the team because Sally, Betty and Margie made the the same team and they have NO skills and your Susie is WAY better than that and how dare those silly coaches think that this team is the right place for Susie and this entire season is going to be a disaster and the gym is going to close because of the horrible way they put teams together and you want your registration money back.

1000 Amens!!!!

Okay have one for cheer owners. Thou shall not throw coach (making wise decision) under bus saying they will talk to coach about CP placement just in order to keep a family.

The inverse of this would be for parents: Thou shall not go to owner and try to convince them of other placement.
