All-Star Well Orange Is Going Large Ladies & Gentlemen

Since when are "flashy" and "risky" synonymous? You keep using their lack of "flashiness" while performing as putting them behind the eight ball in LAG but it makes no sense. Orange always maxes out the scoresheet in difficulty and their record shows they are rewarded for it so why would their lack of "flash" hurt them? What even is "flash" in relation to a scoresheet?

Orange is obviously very different from any of the current LAG teams. All of the teams who were in LAG are also extremely different from each other. No two are alike and all have completely unique styles. Orange's style has worked for them in small and medium and I'm sure they wouldn't be moving to large if their coaches did not have a plan to make it work for them there, too.

i was only commenting on the fact that someone brought up if they thought orange would risk execution points for some difficulty. and since people keep comparing two different division scores SE and WC beat Orange in choreography, tumbling and building.

so in reality orange's execution might not give them an edge over everyone else in the end if it was a two day competition. since everyone seems to say stingrays execution alone could take everyone. if that makes any sense...

pffff no... to be honest orange has never come off as a flashy team, compared to lets say WC or F5... and now that they are in large, i dont think anything will change. but i said it before, that if they are gonna keep up with the big dogs, i dont think they will have a choice but to take some risks.
people can argue all they want that they out did a lot of the large teams in certain scores when comparing worlds 2013, but then again they are adding more girls to the team. and you cant compare divisions remember..... or at least that was what everyone was arguing over earlier.
Well you have made it very clear on here that you don't like orange and think they suck and not trying to sound rude but I highly doubt oranges coach is going to come on here and take your advice. Orange dominated small senior for years and didn't break a sweat on medium last year so yeah their probably going to walk into large with the same style that has been working for them VERY well in the past. And if mid season they look up and are getting slammed at evey comp I will bet my bottom dollar that their seven time world champion coach will change their routine to something that works. Oranges coach creates their routine to hit the scoresheet as well as possible no extra "flashy" stuff. Why? Because it's not on the scoresheet! Why waste time with stuff that really doesn't matter.

Also I hate bombard you but your last paragraph made no sense. You admit that they outscored a number of large senior teams in a number of categories but it doesn't matter bc their adding more girls? Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that help them by adding more talented athletes to the team?

Stingrays have flawless execution! If they put a standing two to double whip hand double on the mat, I'd have no doubt in my mind that it'd be beautiful every single time it was competed. Along with every other skill competed in their routines. Do I personally feel like this will make them as strong as a contender in large senior as it did in small/medium? Either 1. No because when the scoring is comparative and they're put up against teams like F5 and SE, teams that put "flashy risks" in their routines, I just don't see them scoring as well. These "flashy risks" are the moments that make this division so emotional and intense. OR 2. Yes, because they've done it before and it worked for them, and they have the receipts to show it. They know how to win, no doubt.

What a bipolar post, hope y'all enjoy haha.

I agree with you! And I think they should bring their style to this division. I just don't know whether or not they'll have the same advantage that they did in small or medium.

There's a reason why their coaches picked this year to put them in this division.
I think they'll be able to cope just fine with the heavy hitters.

Just thinking about it in response to someone else's post about unique styles from teams... if next year before seeing anything from anyone, you could watch each team compete to no sound and in white tees and shorts and be able to tell which gym put out which team. That's crazy, but you could.

Well of course we could ... we'd just look at their HAIR!

judging by past dances... and dont try and tell me, they are gonna miraculously come out with an F5/Shooting Stars type dance.... its not the kinda style that stingrays typically comes out with.

I would've agreed until they came out with their dance this year. I've ALWAYS loved their dances, but this year was so fresh and I think it totally fit the "large style" of dance.

i do like orange, but those girls better learn how to dance!!!!... f5 and Stars alone will kill them in that scoring area. and panthers and SE are quickly learning to have better dance scores as well.

It's funny that you brought that up. First Stingray Orange has dominated almost any division they have entered. They have beaten teams with all types of choreography. In additiona SE is the DEAL, but dancing is not their speciality.. stunts and pyramids are. They seem to do just fine in Large senior, so I'm sure Rays will do just as well. Also Rays dance this last season killed... so much fun to watch.

i was only simply answering someones question about if "Anyone thinking that Orange will finally trade in the execution points for some difficulty?" It was an opinion, not a fact, and i quickly announced that time will tell once the season starts, and considering they attended cheersport last year, they might attend it again in which F5 will be the first team they go up against for the season, IN MY VERY NEXT POST (probably 5 seconds later..)... i really wish people would learn how to read a little more, and have a semi open mind to things, but clearly people have some serious authority issues. i have never stated that i hated orange, and i dont. so dont automatically assume things that you dont know. i have been critical on all the teams at one point or another over the seasons on the boards, so im not against any certain team. :chillpill:

i'm just confused to how people do not see them fitting into this division...i think even in medium last yr they uped their difficulty and style a bit more than when they were small...idk i'm team rays and just think they will adapt just well in my opinion
