I've never been to worlds, but i've found out that it is helpful to watch flight and hotel prices early and check weekly to get a good price. If you don't need to stay at disney hotels, there are good alternatives outside. We are going to orlando this summer and the flights from europe varied about 100.- to 150.- Euros more or less depending on which week day you will depart.

You got a flight from europe to orlando for 150€ or did I understand something wrong?

I understood that the flights were about 150€ more or less than the average price - not 150€ in total.

Sorry, i guess i took the wrong words. @Emily is right:
I wanted to say that wether you fly on a saturday or a tuesday, the price range is 150 Euro less or more.
If i´d knew where to get tickets to Florida for 150.- Euro, i´d be at worlds every year.

1. Start planning way ahead of time, especially when it comes to flights, the earlier you book the cheaper they are

2. Find people to travel with. We were a pretty large group of 8 people and we shared a villa in orlando which was very cheap and amazingly pretty! I think each of us only paid like 80 dollars for a week and we had a pool and everythin. Same thing with a rental car, the more people you travel with, the cheaper it is :)

3. Choose wisely what days you wanna go and watch worlds. We went to ICU on Friday and then to Finals on Sunday. You don't have to necessarily watch Prelims /Semi Finals unless there are Teams you really wanna see and think they might not make it into Finals. Believe me, i am obsessed with Cheer, but that would have been too much, even for me. Plus since Tickets are ridiculously expensive these days it makes even more sense to not go all 3 days.

4. Plan enough time for shopping and other activities. Although i gotta say, a week was almost too long for Orlando, for next year we prefer staying in Orlando for a few days and spending more time in Miami or somewhere else.

We are definitly going again next year, even if we do not make the National Team which we are going to tryout for . I can't wait :)

I was just in Orlando and we stayed at this great condo, about 15-20 mins away from Disney. It has three bed rooms (one with two twin beds, one with a queen, and one with a king). We had 5 people staying there and two huge bathrooms, a living area, kitchen and washers/dryers and a pool and all that lol. I think my aunt said it was only $900 for the week. Which isn't too bad if you split the cost a few ways!

The only downfall is that you'd have to rent a car. It was better than the two Disney resorts that I've stayed at when I've competed down there.

Four people in one room of the Disney Allstar resorts for a week can work out at about £300 odd per person (that's for the full week)! Flights through STA travel can be between £400-£600 return depending on when you fly. Well, they were when I looked last month.
I'm trying to convince all my friends to come out since I'll be living there next year. Unfortunately I'm not allowed guests in my apartment otherwise I'd just have a massive UK cheerleader sleepover all weekend!

If you're renting a car see if you can get a Sun Pass (I think that's what it's called) through the rental car company. I think it was only around $8 or so. We were only in Orlando for a couple days, but there's a lot of toll roads in the area so we probably would have spent more than $8 to use the roads. It was just kind of something handy to have!

Definately rent a house if you are coming with other people. Windsor Palms and Indian creek communities are less than 10 min from Espn and Disney! We got one for 115 a night that slept 8 people.

Im looking to go for a week with my boyfriend, I have always wanted to watch worlds but ive also been out to Florida twice with family and it was just the most amazing holiday ever, I dont know how someone can say they got bored in orlando, we were out there for 2 weeks and we litterally didnt stop with all the parks and shows! I found some really good deals on accomodation and now the crippling part is park tickets because my boyfriend isnt fussed about disney but adores universal etc, the only real reason I want us to get disney tickets is for worlds because there is NO WAY I am going to florida this time during worlds and missing it.
Our disney tickets will be £270 pounds each so I really want to plan the worlds part of this spot on so its not a waste. I cant imagine he's thrilled to pay that much to do something hes not fussed about, although I think secretly he will love disney and the parks are awesome! But the reason is worlds so I'd be gutted to get it wrong :(

Do you think we'd need a car even if we were in a hotel with transport to the parks?

Nope! You'd only need one if you stay off Disney grounds I believe. Not sure if other hotels (not Disney) will take you to the parks and whatnot, like a Hilton or something. We stayed at a condo so we definitely needed one!
