For my AP World final freshman year, I did the globalization of cheerleading. I cheer for high school, and my teacher hated that his daughters were drawn to me and my friend who were cheerleaders. Once I did my report on how cheerleading is all around the world, with levels, rules and used clips of Stars and F5 (two weeks after they won Worlds)., he was throughly impressed. And I was one of the only people who got an A, and worked alone.

For our globalization units we had "key concepts" that we had to write about every week, we had to find a current event and analyze it and then make a 2 page prediction about how that will affect the world in the future. One of the concepts was "The spread of global culture, sports, movies, etc" and I wrote about Worlds and how it's grown and then I predicted that it would continue to grow. My teachers were pretty confused but I got 100% so....

Before this year I haven't been able to afford all stars. So I bide my time filling in for teams. Before December, my mom never really got into it. But she went to watch me compete at CHEERSPORT- Birmingham...it was her first competition... She filmed it for me and all she could say was "oh wow!!! No way!!" In the video.

I really think you should post this video.

This was our first competition, so I know we aren't the best. But the "oh wow" part is at the end and I'm the main base of the stunt group that she focuses on.... Again I was just filling in and learned this routine the day of. So please don't judge me:/

We are the best, or silver black and blue. Cowboys

One of the girls trying out for HS cheer talked her older football player brother into trying out. Turns out he's really good at one mans. Anyways he told our coach that cheerleading is truly a sport and that it's a big workout.

Sorta the same with my son. He is six foot, 225lbs of football player and did all star to please me last season. He can't tumble a lick but is a beast with the one man partner stunts. He has so much fun doing all star last season he is doing it again this year.

I showed the video of Torrence Shipman from Bring It On explaining that "it's not a democracy, it's a cheer-ocracy" when she picks Missy over who the other girls "voted" for in one of my political science classes to show an example of my ideal form of government (a philosopher king). I got an A.

Perhaps one of the best lines of the 2000s

When my oldest CP is asked to "show something" she'll whip out a standing back whether she has jeans or shorts on. The non-cheer people love it!

This one time (a looong time ago), after a bball game, my entire team went to a Starbucks still in our uniforms and bows. The baristas were so...startled?...by all these college cheerleaders. We did a short chant for them and they gave us all free starbucks :) This has also worked at a froyo place...

One time for a homework assignment, I had to write letters to myself from an imaginary French pen pal and I got points taken off for making them a cheerleader.

I had to write an essay a week for about 10 weeks in AP Lang (different types of essays...description, process, explanation, etc.) and pretty much every single essay I wrote was about cheerleading...I'm pretty sure my teacher was tired of reading about cheerleading....

A local elementary school asked if my team could come and teach cheerleading to the kids. One of our stunt groups went (me included) and before we started teaching them we showed some stunts. The kids screamed sooo loud when we showed a toe touch basket. Like they were half amused half scared haha.

In Sweden people are not that outgoing and usually don't ask even if you wear a bow or uniform. But when we travel to Worlds people always come up asking what kind of team we are. This year in Orlando a random lady came up and talked to me about cheerleading in the grocery store. She said she always watch cheerleading on ESPN :)

My first year of All Stars, in middle school (a long time ago), I didn't make the school cheer team (I was put on dance instead), so every time I was talking cheer the football players would get in a little hiffy, like you cheer for another team:confused: Had to explain it for months lol. In addition that same year I had health class with 2 friends who did school cheer and those same football players would stunt with us and where so amazed with benches and elevated/shoulder "splits" lol

One of my friends went to the doctor for bronchitis the morning of competition, full hair and make up done. When giving her the antibiotics, the doctor kept telling her "okay, you're sure you know that these will adversely affect your birth control right" and "you're for sure understanding about the birth control right".

Shes like great, my black and silver cheer make up make me look like trollop.
