Noticed it in the beginning of season and loved it. And then they had 'we'll stay strong in the face of adversity' with which could be anything from USASF to the Rules Committee surprising everyone with rules Out-of-Cycle to just SE being in Large Senior and dealing with that.

Brilliant.

Youth elite has done the same thing in the past. "No matter what they say, they'll never take this away" back when they restricted youth five

Does their "spreading our wings to adapt" VoiceOver from this year kind of have to do with the same thing? I always assumed so and loved how it fit in so perfect

Didn't Rock star have something about "it might be the last year to spin twice" or something? I laughed when I heard it, it was well played.

Yeah, I think it was 2012? Something like "it might be the last year to do a double twist" or something... right around when those proposed tumbling restrictions came out and everyone freaked.

CEA Youth Elite's music this and last years have been very centred around "surviving", Im guessing because of the changes to Y5?

"It's all about surviving"
Use of Destiny's Child song "Survivor"
Use of Gloria Gaynor song "I will survive"
"Take it all away/the way but now and forever we'll always stay"

I love when vos and music speak directly to something the team has gone/is going through.
Last season, Fame Vengeance combined Blackout and Celebrities to create the team. One of the vos starts out "Vengeance in your face, Blacking Out the lights..." then goes into Celebs 2012 tumble pass music. If you didn't know the teams and the situation, it wouldn't make a difference, but the kids knew :)

i love this too! our coach would always add music into our routine that would speak directly to something that happened to our teams. one year, our senior team had Hannah montana best of both worlds in it because we ended up combining two teams together and we called it the best of both worlds team. I swear our team was full of dorks but we loved it:D
