Sports Bras In Public...

Honestly, I say no. It's not going to promote a good image. I don't feel like anyone would be ok with them attending a parade in bikinis

No. never. In any public situation. A cute tank top (not the speghetti strap ones) and soffees will keep you just as cool and promote a much better image. I remember running into some girls from our gym at Panera and they were all in sports bras and the customers were pretty open about expressing their disgust. It only looks cute in the gym!

A while back I forgot to throw a t on cp when we stopped at Krispy Kreme for donuts before practice. It took me a minute to realize why everyone was looking at us like we were on fire. I have also seen people post some not very nice stuff on IG when an athlete posts a pic of themselves in public in a sports bra. Lots of "Why don't you have a shirt on?" and "My mom would kill me if I went out like that...". Living in the Baptist belt they have a pretty low tolerance for the hot pants/sports bra combo!

I do get some strange looks when I've gone out in spandex/sports bras/crop top or what ever I was wearing haha! Even when I workout at la fitness in a sports bra I get a look here and there... It just feels normal for me though haha

I would say no! Maybe consider wearing t shirts and cutting out the sides a little, so your armpits could be free! Haha We did this for our school, escadrille& cheerleader parade thing. It was early August in Texas so it was hot here too.

I would say no. The kids might want them but I think it would be better to just go with a tank top!

Oh, as far as it being too hot, tell them two words---marching band.

I get weird looks just going out to dinner after a comp (and my gym has full tops) I couldn't imagine a sports bra

Must be a Florida thing bc I see people in the mall in bathing suit tops all the time. I don't encourage it but it doesn't shock me (and most in this area). Again, I discourage it but it happens. In a parade, no.

Yea I think it's a little more laid back (for lack of better term) in Florida... I used to live in the Fort Lauderdale area and bathing suits weren't unusual... I am guilty if wearing a sports bra in public but I've never gone as far as bikini top haha!

Are you including practices or just out in public (other than the gym)?
Do you include practice wear in this category as well?
