I love the idea!

As for those wanting parents verified, I think that maybe parents and athletes/former athletes who retired (like me) could have a different color check just to prove they are who they say they are. Only if they want to be of course!

It's actually not that far of a stretch/hard to do. Most people who post on Internet forums of some kind, answer questions in a FAQ for certain businesses, purchase goods online, etc. leave an electronic "paper trail" of sorts. It can be arduous but if you really want to and have the time, it's often not as hard as you think. You can even reverse image search nowadays.

As much as I would love to be verified......not even my Facebook had my pic in the profile pic!! I have VERY FEW pics of me online.....sorry, but time has not been my friend. Feel free to call my anytime. Someone here even had all my info because I applied for PAC a couple of years ago. And Lisa W (can verify me, she met me at NCA).

(I will take down my Michelle Obama "profile"....but won't put my own pic up. Hasn't anyone noticed that I don't try to meet up at comps!!)

Hahaha, yes.

Ever since that option went up people asking to delete their account has gone from about 4 a week to one pissed off person it costs a month. I call that an upgrade!

You don't have to own a well known gym to know your $*&%. Your opinion counts more than many on this board!

I think it's a great idea for coaches and those in the industry! I've already seen a couple of verified accounts who are big posters and it make so much more sense now why they are always so informed and can provide good discussion points.

I have no problem being verfied - my avi is me, my screenname is my name and it's not hidden at all which gym I coach at.

Like it would make sense for Justin Carrier and Les Stella to be verified, but it doesn't really make any sense for someone like me to be. I'm not anyone in the industry, even if I have texted with you.

I agree!! Honestly, although I don't know who she actually is or what gym she's with, I thought @coachtamera was with a "well-known" gym. Her posts have always shown knowledge and kindness!!
