Just a general question.
If someone was wanting to tryout for cheer at a new school but would not technically be enrolled at that school until next school year, can they still participate in tryouts? (I'm moving from GA to TX at the end of this upcoming school year)

That's entirely dependent on the individual school and school district. You'd have to contact the school to know for sure.

Depends on the District. I know you can in Allen because a girl tried out for varsity even though she currently went to school in McKinney but would be attending Allen next year.

Lol I'd probably have to negotiate some of the parent meetings and spring practices tho if Im still in school in Georgia

Haha yes probably. Most of the time during spring practice is spent teaching all the new cheerleaders band dances and cheers, which are also online so you could just learn them from there!

Transfers for my old HS are allowed to come to a practice once the school year has begun. It is solely based on age. There's a 99% chance that the transfer will be asked to be a part of the team. The coach does an AWESOME job at "molding" new athletes & having them adapt to her critiques. However, skill dictates which team the athlete makes and whether or not she will compete, like the rest of the girls.
