Pulled my right hamstring doing the splits and tore my left hamstring from landing a bhs weird. My knee buckled and then gave out. Weirdest feeling ever. Both very painful

I was back spotting a hitch kick double in high school, she came down wrong and hit my jaw. Broke it in two places, knocked 2 teeth out, and gave me nerve damage to the right side of my face. This all happened on the day of choreography camp!!! They wired me shut. I missed all but one competition that season with high school, but good thing I cheered all-star ;) I competed at all of those

When I did High School Cheer I broke my wrist, tor my bursa, sprained my ankle, and consistantly sprained my lower back. I have had my collar bone broke and many petty injuries.

right now i have a torn acl and the side of my meniscus is flipped up and is torn. Surgery tomorrow:(

Acl was first working on fulls... i think? I went to RediMed and they said nothing was wrong, so i followed their instructions and got back on it. I was working on tucks and 1/2 my foot landed on rod floor and the other half into soft mat and locked out. I think that's when I tore my meniscus? finally went somewhere where they knew what they were doing and told me what was wrong &i need surgery and whatnot....... please tell me someone else has had one of these and the surgery wasn't that bad, i'm like freaking out!
I was going to have surgery on my meniscus but i opted out. My orthopedic doctor that I see regularly told me I would have to wear one of those big steel braces you see football players wearing if I got the surgery.

My cp's worst injury was a pretty severe contusion to her kidney. She was 6 and was playing around doing baskets and somehow her back hit a shoulder or something. She had blood in her urine for about 3 weeks. She was out of cheer for 8 weeks.

I don't think I can even list all of mine haha! I would say my worst would be either when I broke the main none in my hand in half tumbling out of whips (played volleyball with the cast on... That was interesting...), my ankles... One has a torn ligament and a for tendon and the other one has a Thorne ligament and a fracture (I didn't find out about the fracture until over a year later when I got X-rays because they thought I broke the other side of my ankle), or the torn muscle in my back that I got from doing whip fulls on the tumble track

for all those with torn meniscus issues, did you have surgery? how long did it take to recover? A friend of mine tore it yesterday from landing a full all wonky and such. The docs think she will need to have the surgery and I was curious as to how long you are out for and how long until you can actually start doing things cheer related.

I didn't get surgery but I do regret it because it always hurts and I always have to ice it at practices

I dislocated my knee doing a handspring I think, and didn't go to the doctors for 7 months, and I've sprained my ankle so many times I have to have surgery on it

CP broke her collar bone doing a cartwheel in her friend's living room. She was out of cheer for 16 weeks and then had to relearn her backhand spring with major mental block.

Had (still have actually) bicep and rotator cuff tendonitis and didn't know. Dislocated my shoulder and kept dislocating over and over. Therapy didn't work and I refused to surgery. Finally got it but now I'm not allowed to do ANY physical activity for at least 12 months but I do anyways. My doctor said I'm going to get arthritis when I'm in my early 20's...

Well. During cheer practice we went to get a drink from the drinking water fountain and a girl whipped her head for some reason, and whipped it into the brick wall and got a concussion.

And we were learning a new super hard stunt and a flyer stepped on her back spots head giving her a sprained neck and a concussion. And this was our best stunt group and the flyer was a senior. We decided not to put those stunts in.

But our coaches didn't give us enough time to stretch before practice ever and eventually LITERALLY 10/21 girls got tendinitis in all different places. Luckily I was not one of them.

I'm laughing even though I shouldn't be
I'm just picturing "Oh what happened, were you stunting?" "oh I was getting a drink..."
It's actually hilarious! Like she got a concussion at cheer...how? Banged her head on a wall getting a drink of water!!! Lol she was out for sooooooo long for it too! It was horrible for her!
