have you looked at the ford fiesta? i'm 5'3" and my mom is 5'0" and we both drive fiestas and even though we're both a little taller than you, there's no issue at all for either of us! it seems like a car that's made for smaller people, haha.

We have not, but from what I've heard that sounds perfect!! Several people on here have recommended Fords, so I'll have to check it out. Thank you so much :)

No problem! It also gets really great gas mileage... I get about 31 mpg when I'm doing tons of stop and go city driving. I have the hatchback and the only issue I really have at all with it is that the backseat is pretty cramped so it gets uncomfortable for anyone that sits back there on long drives. My mom has the sedan and it has more legroom though!

I drive a Ford Taurus right now, but when I had my focus I was so happy I finally found a car that I could see over the dash!! I have to sit on a pillow in my Taurus...
This is a smart thread and since my car is on the verge of dying I like seeing these suggestions!

Haha right now I'm sitting on my Bio book. I never used it this semester, but I guess it's good for something now. ;)

4'9" over here and I have a rav4. Definitely understand the whole issue. The car I drove for the training was a sedan and I couldn't not manage at all. But I'm in love with my car now and love the control I have and the ability to see everything.

I learned to drive in an older Taurus and had to sit on a pillow :p

I would definitely recommend a Honda, me and my mom are 5' and 4'11 and we've never had problems with the Honda's we've tried or owned.

Most newer cars that have electric seats will allow you to "raise" the seat and sometimes you can lower the steering wheel to see over it better. Just make sure that you can still comfortably reach the pedals with bumping your knees on the steering wheel!

I haven't driven yet (gah over the summer drivers Ed -.-) but I can reach the peddle on my moms car and see over the wheel. I'm 4'11. She has a BMW 328i series. I'm not sure how the other series are but this is also a sports model of it.

I wish there was a car for short people. As a 12 (7th grader) year old who is 4'8 and had to sit in a booster seat until 4th grade, I would gladly welcome cars that were meant for petite people.

I'm not short, I'm fun sized. I'm also not and arm rest (lol)

I felt as though I should follow up on this thread. :) We just brought home my new Mazda 3!! I love it, and I love the fact that I can see in it. Thank you everyone for your advice!!

This thread made me giggle a little lol..my family's so tall we have a hard time finding cars big enough haha. But if anyone's still looking, the newest Hyundai Sonata is great for tall and shirt people. The seat adjusts a ton.

I'm 5'1" and I drive a Ford Focus! I have the seat raised and all the way forward. Before that I drove a Honda Odessy

Ford Focus is one of the cars I'm looking into now :)
I currently drive a Ford Escort and I love it. Its a coupe, and it literally feels like I'm driving a go kart lol very compact, very close to the ground, but perfect for someone who is a whopping 4' 11". I would suggest what I drive but they don't make them anymore lol The focus is the closest thing to the escort unfortunately.

I miss my Focus :( It was close to 100k miles so my dad traded it in and now I have a Jetta! I love it but I can barely see out of it..

haha that's the biggest thing I'm worried about. It sounds silly but it really does suck! I sit all the way up to my steering wheel and seat back completely straight and even still I have to like put my head up to see out my mirrors. I drove my friend's dodge I think avenger and oh my god it felt like a tank! AND I had to make shift a cushion to see over the steering wheel, but then I couldn't see my speedometer bc the steering wheel covered it up. short people problems
