High School Rhinestones In High School Cheer

I think rhinestone bows are okay, your uniforms just can't have rhinestones on them. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I know they are illegal for GHSA

In Illinois a lot of teams have rhinestones on their uniforms (my team included) so I am pretty sure they are legal. We also have them on our bows!

They are illegal for uniforms but bows are okay....at last last year. I make bows and did tons with custom rhinestone logs for HS, and so far this year I am not aware of any rule changes regarding rhinestones on bows. cheerstones.net

Our bows have rhinestones, but yet again we don't compete so it's not like we'd get told if they weren't

I would think so since you bought them and they don't belong to the school.. Since my Nike ones fell apart I wore my nfinitys towards the end of the season with rhinestones on them and my coach didnt say anything.

IHSA (Illinois) DOES allow Rhinestones...

In Maine rhinestones are not allowed on uniforms but I did notice a few girls from one team compete with bedazzled nfinities. Either they're acceptable, or the girls just didn't get caught, which I doubt the latter was the case.

I don't think it's "illegal", but your coach may or may not be too keen on it. Depending on how many rhinestones you put on it, it might take the "uniform" part out of it. Yes, I consider shoes a part of the uniform.

Why would you want rhinestones on your shoes? Usually shoes are not as clean as they should be so something shiny on them only draws attention.. Should make sure toes are pointed too if you plan on drawing attention.. Now think of bases. Their hands could get cut from the rhinestones while basing. Keep it simple.. No stones on shoes

Oh no I don't! I just know a lot of allstar girls put rhinestones on their shoes, and I was just curious. A girl on my school team has rhinestones on her shoes and I didn't know if it was going to be allowed.
And yeah as a base that's the first problem I have with it, plus if they aren't secured well they could fall off and hit you in the eye or something. That's why I was thinking it wouldn't be allowed in HS, considering (at least in my state) it's illegal for your hair to touch your face at all, it seems like rhinestones are dangerous and would be illegal....
